I'm a long way short of getting my UFC tattoo yet, so I'm not that much of a pathetic fanboy.

And yeah, I do appreciate the UFC. I like watching the fights on my TV, and seeing all the top guys fight each other on the regular. I would have been an MMA fan years ago, if it existed as an actual legitimate sport with a presence in the West. But it didn't. Now it does. Thanks Dana. :good

Even something as simple as just "I enjoyed the fights tonight"? :huh He doesn't. Ever. 5) Kongo is a well-known veteran and company man who has fought all the big names. But apparently he doesn't deserve the good money either, for some reason. atsch

6) You think Chael should have been paid $10-15 million to fight Anderson? That was the biggest fight of the year, sold shitloads of PPVs and it was all off Sonnen's mouth. You'd be all keen to see Sonnen's mouth get him rewarded with a $14 million payday, right? atsch

i watched that entire video and my take was different than yours. My take on it was DANA scammed you and the public with CLEVER wording to create SLIGHT distractions from what ? From the truth. First his claim that UFC smoked BOXING is not clear as if he means to state that the PURSEs the UFC fighters recieved SMOKED what the BOXING fighters recieved for those two cards, then the TRUTH that the PROCEEDs that the UFC brought in on that CARD compared to the BOXING CARD also SMOKED the BOXING card have to be CONSIDERED correct ? However, i am guessing that he was intentionally trying to avoid answering the HARD RAW TRUTH using clever smoke and mirrors. If the UFC card SMOKED the GATE etc of the BOXING CARD that would mean by all rights the UFC fighters SHOULD get more CORRECT ? Yet that REAL POINT was LOST after Dana used GSP's 5 million per fight [[ he eluded to 10 million ]] that GSP does not DARE to REVEAL [[ not fully true, thus more half crap ]] and then GLOSSEs over this to make the CLAIM that UFC fighters make so much per fight they are keeping quiet about it because they dont want the PUBLIC to know how FORTUNATE they are. There is some truth to that however, there is also bull**** to that point and that is what Dana is USING to PLAY with to distract the point from the truth that the UFC dudes dont advertise their salarys in the sameway that boxers do. I BET that Dana has talked to them about this telling them its not in their BEST interest to be too forthcoming and thus for the most part i would BET without a DOUBT that if it was in Dana's best interest that all his fighters advertised how much they were paid thats exactly what would be happening. Then Dana uses the UNDERCARD fighters to DISTRACT from the TOP END that the TOP BOXERs are paid. Well thats just crap as all the UFC fighters are under contract to the UFC and if on a CARD should be getting more than small time boxers that will take a small pay day just to gamble on a bigger pay day if and when victorious soon thereafter.

Overall what came out of Dana's mouth ?

His fighters make so much they dont want YOU to know because its SO MUCH.

That is clever smoke and mirrors anyway ONE CUTs it.

So what are we left with ? The truth that the top ranked boxers get more of the total purse from the proceeds generated from a fight gate etc then the top ranked guys in UFC. GSP is pound for pound ranked as one of the BEST of the BEST correct ? He hasnt even fought in ages and his popularity is huge globally correct ? Thus he better be getting 5 million per fight.

Personally i have no biased towards MMA or BOXING. I love them both and find the entire debate of no interest as far as witch is better. To me the one that is better is the one that has the better fight on any given night and there are totally shyte boxing fights as well as MMA fights. The best fights of each however are both fantastic so i dont feel any biased and simply enjoy them as being different. However, PAY DAYs and GATEs and how that is DIVIDED is not a DEBATE of witch is BETTER sport, its a DEBATE of witch SPORT pays its STARs the BEST or most FAIRLY correct ?

To figure that out is EASY if one has a calculator and the REAL FIGUREs. One simply needs to calculate the TOTAL PROCEEDs that a CARD brings in and then minus off the SALARYs of the FIGHTERs that created the ENTIRE CARD. When that MATH has been done in past and NO i didnt do it so i dont know for sure, however, when those numbers have been LEAKED out in PAST CARDs it appears that more of the CASH from a BOXING CARD goes to the SALARYs of the BOXERs then it does to the MMA fighters. **** all the other crap. It is what it is. One can argue that its not fair for ONE FIGHTER to make so much more than another fighter, however, thats a different point of debate as what the reality of this debate is not the FAIRNESS of the BREAKDOWN on all of the salarys of the fighters but what PERCENTAGE of those TOTAL SALARYs compare to the TOTAL REVENUE generated from the CARD.
