This a question to any of the Youngstown Folk.....On these forums you continually hear how Youngstown is a red-neck infested cesspool.....Youngstown from what I know back in the day was a pretty big mafia stronghold (Pavs dad looks like Kojak:yep)...and had strong connections with Steubenville OH in that regard....the only two people I knew from Youngstown I met in college and they were two very cool brothas who always referred to Youngstown as the Big Town.....Does that nickname ring a bell (pun intended) with any Youngstown Peeps?

Just the Pavlik haters raising ****. That and a few Pdub huggers. Big Town doesn't ring a bell. Little Chicago at one point. I watched a documentary on blacks in the Pittsburgh steel mills where a guy was threatened with "we aren't that far from Youngstown". The implication being he should be afraid to start his car. Youngstown being halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh meant the two 'families' competed for control. Not that we didn't have enough home grown mind you.

 

There's no way he's going to get a boxing glove over that.

 

Interesting:good....by the way on youtube there is a group of fellas from Philly (guard your grilll boxing) who regularly give pre-fight and post-fight analysis...they are entertaining and quite knowledgeable.... but I think they were in agreement that Paul Williams when he is trying to walk down people(his modus operandi as of late) is certainly there to be hit and if Martinez had more pop (dare I say Pavlik:yep) Williams would have been :dead.....But I am certainly not a Williams hater in the least....He's a trooper...very game.....And like him to beat anyone besides Pav..But being orginally from Ohio I'll root for Pavlik......who's blue collar through and through..he doesn't put on a front and certainly isn't ducking anyone....time will prove this.....:good

 

I said before the fight was signed I'd be worried about Pdub's health. I wasn't trying to be a wise ass, I actually believe the potential is there the way he gets hit and has a decent beard. Kelly doesn't throw the big punches because he is disciplined other wise. That is why he is an 'accumulation' knock out artist. I'm afraid Paul would just take too many for his own good. I overheard some folks in his camp talking, they had no doubt Kelly would destroy him. I never believed it was a duck for a second. These guys didn't know I was listening to them. Take it for what it's worth.

Damn! Can't wait to see KP smack Williams with that mother****er. Paul's gonna break out with creepin' crud from head to foot. Body parts will start fallin off and ****, and Peterson will be in the corner tryin to tape 'em back on screamin' "just step to 'im and knock 'im out son. You know his chin's grade A china!" And PDub will be all whiny and **** just cuz his nose fell off!
