Hey non Boxingraise subscribers, did you know you can get 30 days free by registering now - https://boxingraise.com/register

If you already knew that and took advantage of the offer, then brilliant, sit down, log in (connect your laptop to a TV screen or projector if you wish) and enjoy the next in the Live Dangan series of shows.

This card will be a Japan Vs China card, with 5 bouts in total including 3 where fighters from the two countries collide. They aren't the best of match ups, but do include very exciting local fighters like Katsunori Nagamine and Shuma Nakazato. As well as those 2 (Edit - was supposed to be 3) bouts between the two countries the show will also feature an OPBF Super Featherweight title bout between Carlo Magali and Hironori Mishiro (who actually beat Nakazato in a thriller).

    Should start very shortly!

    Retsu Akabane (3-1, 2) v Gen Kawasaki (3-4, 2)

Card kicks off with the only all Japanese fight on the card. A bit of choppiness to the stream to begin with (a lil frustrating given their song and dance about this being a new boxingraise) but this has been typical with their broadcasts in the early part of the show.

Akabane seemed to do enough to take the opening round from what I saw, Kawasaki had issues with the tape on his glove. Akabane seems to be the smarter man in there

2-Messy action now up close, heads banging together, both unloading come nice work up close but mostly messy stuff. Close round, Akabane started the better but Kawasaki had some moments of his own...going 2-0 Akabane, feeling his work was a touch better

Stream has calmed down massively! Finding an issue with a single camera feed though, as we spent 40 seconds of that round with the referee obscuring the action

3-Akabane picking up the pace now, and having success from distance. Kawasaki wants the fight to be up close and messy. Akabane landing uppers when Kawasaki comes inside, a series of gut shots from Akabane up close now, more uppercuts from Akabane, Kawasaki stumbles backwards as they separate, but stays upright. More clean punches form Akabane. VERY clear round!

Kawasaki now cut, right eye, think it'll have been from the niggling headclashes, Akabane holding Kawasaki's head away from his own a lot in the late part of the round

4-More messy action with Kawasaki looking to cut the space, oh lovely stuff from Akabane as Kawasaki looks to rush in, the right hooke from Akabane have been excellent. Kawasaki looking to turn it around and is caught by a head snappoing shot from Akabane off the ropes, and a big left from Akabane. Kawasaki lands his best shot of the fight, only seconds left now,...and the two fall into a clinch... Pretty clear win for Akabane on my card

The best you'll get is google translate/google chrome to change some of the text to make it easier to navigate. There's no commentary for most of the fights (the early shows had stuff like Takuya Kogawa giving special guest commentary), so there's not much of an issue there with language

As expected Akabane gets the nod!

Bout 2 will be Riki Hamada (7-1, 6) v Xiao Tao Su (5-1, 2), the first of the Japan Vs China bouts

1-The visitor looking catious, Hamada is a pretty heavy handed guy and you understand why Su isn't looking to take risks too early. Su starting to come forward behind his guard and lands a right hand over the top, Hamada's knees buckle but he holds and regains his bearings. Body shots from Su. Hamada looks to be worried and the Chinese guy looks pretty strong and looks to be hitting harder than his record suggetss

Worth noting Hamada was stopped inside a round last time out

2-Pressure from the Chinese fighter and Hamada again looks like he's lacking a bit of self belief, good shot from Hamada and he evades a right hand from Su, body shot from Hamada, they trade and Hamada is sent flying, leaning over ropes. Knockdown. Chinese fighter unloads on the prone Hamada. Point deducted from Su when the fight resumes. Su on the chase and he knocks out Hamada with flush head shots! BIG win for him!

Hamada helped to his feet after a couple of minutes, looks glassy eyed still. Was a pretty brutal finish by Su, hwo hits MUCH harder than his record shows - but then again he has been fighting at Featherweight or higher and was at Super Bantamweight for today's fight, which may explain the power he showed.

    Next up Shuma Nakazato (7-1-1, 6) v Vergil Puton (17-10, 8)

Puton is a late replacement for a Chinese opponent! Sorry wasn't aware of that until now. He had been scheduled to face Qixiu Zhang (9-4-1, 3) ...so only 2 Japan Vs China bouts, not 3 :(

1-Both looking respectful, Puton has one of those "better than he looks" records and Nakazato will know that, Nakazato looks the crisper of the two. Puton having some success but the power of Nakazato looks to be significant and he is clearly landing the better single shots, Puton with a good body shot but a big clash of heads sees both men in pain. Nakazato cut badly from the clash, left eye is bloodied mess. OUCH! Right across the eye lid. Puton sees the doctor and his cut isn't much better.

Fight stopped. Understandable given Nakazato's cut. Technical Draw Round 1.

Boxingraise cut the sound for Copyright I think on the introduction music, and were very slow to turn it back on

    The chief support bout - Katsunori Nagamine (14-2-1, 10) v Yujie Zeng (11-7-1, 6)
Nagamine has been an interesting guy. A Rookie of the year winner, an early victim for Ken Shiro, suffered a detached retina - twice, had a short but insane fight with Kenya Yamashita (genuinely amazing fight with Yamashita fighting like he didn't give 2 ****s about gassing), a slop fest with Akinori Hoshino (who fights Masayuki Kuroda for the Japanese Flyweight title in July), and a VERY close fight with Kuroda himself.

Zeng on the other hand I know very little about, He was on his last 5 against no-name Chinese foes, and fought weighing anything from between 105 and 121 with his only notable opponent being Genesis Libranza of the Philippines...who out pointed him with ease in Beijing last September...Since then Zheng has fought 5 times in just 9 months...

1-Nagamine trying to box off the jab, the Chinese fighter trying to bring pressure, Nagamine looks his usual calm and confident self, Zeng gets Nagamine on the ropes and goes to work but not for long, Zeng again traps Nagamine and goes to work on the body of the Japanese fighter, a looping right from Zeng lands, Nagamine trying to counter the wilder shots of the visitor, nice counter combo from Nagamine as Zeng looks to unload

2-More pressure from the visitor, Nagamine on his toes and looks to be wanting to move more than he did in round 1, but is still backed up on to the ropes early in the round, jabs land from Nagamine but he can't follow them up with anything, Zeng working the body and connects with a left hook up top, jabs and right hands now from Nagamine as he creates some distance, body shot from Nagamine, a lovely uppercut from Nagamine, now he's backing Zeng up, Zeng seems to have felt the power of Nagamine and wants to recover for a few seconds, and the Chinese fighter is back on the front foot, a hard right hand from Nagamine sends Zeng's gum shield flying, and he fought without it for about 20 seconds...
Chinese corner man looked confused at it not being in his fighters mouth...heh
