3-Zeng on the front foot, Nagamine with a lovely body shot, Zeng to the body and then up top, Zeng's lack of power is his biggest problem here, head shots from Zeng, Nagamine backing up the Chinese fighter, good accurate punching from Nagamine, Zeng isn't really reacting to the shots landing on him, but he is taking more round by round

 

4-Nagamine looks very confident now and is tagging Zeng with significantly more shots, the Chinese fighter has the gutsy "will fight to I go down" look, but he is starting to take heavier and heavier punishment as Nagamine goes through the gears. Zeng still biting down hard and landing the odd big shot, but is taking much more than he's giving.

 

5-Nagamine unloading on the inside, big body shot, Zeng's legs buckled for the first time! Nagamine continues to land the bigger blows, Zeng isn't lying down for anyone though and brings the action, taking an uppercut for his effort, and another uppercut, more uppers - Nagamine has found a real asset there, 2 stiff right hands from Nagamine and Zeng eats them flush before firing back, what is he made of? They are just trading now! Great fight

 

6-Becoming more and more one sided as the Chinese fighter has slowed and tired, but as far as one sided goes this is really fun and his spirit and desire is what's making it fun. Zeng having some early success, Nagamine's face is swelling and red and given his history there may be some worries of damage but he's hammering Zeng with every shot in his arsenal, big right hand from the Chinese fighter! Nagamine continues to tag the Chinese fighter at distance and mid range as well as up close, Zeng's only success is up close

Pace dropped from both men in that round, but still very entertaining

 

7-Zeng again on the front foot to start a round, Nagamine has the decision in the bag if he wants to fight cautiously but instead he's holding his feet and inviting a fight. Zeng begins to back up and Nagamine is letting his shots fly again, maybe he can sense weakness in Zeng, however the Chinese fighter turns it around and fires back, left hook from Nagamine and a follow up, Zeng's knees buckle and he backs off, Nagamine is chipping away at Zeng's resolve but the Chinese fighter doesn't understand what quit means, they are trading again, Nagamine landing crisp shots....and the referee finally waves it off...a mercy stoppage despite Zeng fighting back.

OPBF Super Featherweight title fight comign up! Carlo Magali (23-9-3, 12) v Hironori Mishiro (5-0, 2) - IF Mishiro wins he claims this title in 2 less fights than former Watanabe gym star Takashi Uchiyama

 

1-Mishiro looking to maintain distance and use his reach, nice jab and a good body shot early from the local, but Magali is a strong guy and is pressing forward cutting the distance with some success, Magali looks very strong and tags Mishiro with some looping singles, a glancing right hand from Mishiro, big body shot sfrom Magali, both land big singles before the bell

Mishiro doesn't have the "X-Factor" look about him like other fast rising Japanese fighers (Inoue, Tanaka, Ken Shiro, K.Saito, K.Tanaka, R. Yamauchi, Maruta), but looks very solid. This is a serious test though.

 

2-Magali continues to press forward at times, picking his moments. Mishiro with a good shot that raises the crowd, a body shot from Mishiro raises cheers as well, looks like he sees the body shots as his key weapon, Magali's slowness is playing into the hands of Mishiro who looks quicker in both footwork and in terms of handspeed, a flurry from Magali lands on the gloves of Mishiro who firs back with a solid body shot. Beautiful uppercut from Mishiro! Stiff jabs traded, a sweeping right hand from Magali. They hear the clacker and both up the tempo to the bell.

3-Pace heating up a lil here, sort of wonder why Magali isn't trying to force a hotter tempo onto the lesser experienced man, Mishiro being allowed to dictate the tempo too easily. Magali bleeding from the nose - well that might explain why he's not putting his foot to the gas but Mishiro is having things his own way too much. That nose will be a bullseye. Good straight shots from Magali as he does up the tempo, stiff jab to Magali's nose! Uppercut to Magali's nose! Body-head left hooks from Mishiro. Body shot Mishiro, Magali tyring to respond but he struggles to land, Magali's face is swelling. 2-1 Mishiro

 

4-Magali trying to jab to the body of Mishiro, pressure from Magali but good footwork from Mishiro to avoid being trapped, body shot from Mishiro, Mishiro putting the left out there and Magali reacting without a punch being thrown, clever from the challenger, big body shot from Mishiro, Magali with an uppercut but he eats a hook in return, Magali triples the jab and misses with everyone, Mishiro trying to draw a lead but Magali wise to it, uppercut from Mishiro as Magali ducks down, Magali hits air with another combination, Magali almost slips when he's hitting the air.

Still no "X factor" about Mishiro but he's looking more and more accomplished by the round. The guy oozes confidence

 

5-Magali trying to turn this around and get into the chest of Mishiro more but even when he manages to do that he's not having much success, Mishiro's defensively smarter than he looked against Nakazato with good upper body movement...sayign that Magali has just landed his best series of punches and Mishiro in trouble for the first time.! Mishiro's dropping his hands and this is a huge round for Magali. Mishiro tryign to escape and catch up breath! HUGE turn around but Mishuiro staying on his feet...a judge COULD have given that as a 10-8 to the champion!

 

6-Magali jumping on Mishiro early doors, the challenger hasn't recovered in the minutes rest! This could be a repeat of Lobetania Vs Chiba! Magali with a body shot, Mishiro now wears a concerned look on his face! Jabs from Mishiro as he looks to get some momentum back, Magali returns the jabs, a hard left hand from Magali, Magali looking like he might have shot his load all of a sudden and bretahing with his mouth open! Mishiro backing up the champion, uppercut from Mishiro! The two trade unto the bell, with Mishiro landing a big right hand that just drew a smile from Magali! Great round!

 

7-Magali pressing early doors, WHAT an uppercut and a right hand from Mishiro! Magali smiles, "best ya got kid?", Magali back on to the front foot, a right hand from Mishiro raises the crowd, Magali backing up and takes another uppercut, Magali comes close with a right hand, the champion's moment seems to have gone for now, they each land a big shot and Magali stands stationary - momentarily buzzed?, Magali jabbing well, a left hook from Mishiro lands, Magali's left eye is swelling noticably, Mishiro misses with a big uppercut, Magali ups the pace at the clacker and Mishiro misses with a huge right hand.

 

8-Magali's early pressure seems to have ended earlier this round, Mishiro pressing the action more, a right hand form Mishiro backs up Magali, a right swings over the champions, Magali back on the front foot but takes a huge body shot, and another, body shot from Magali, Magali lands half a right hand (half blocked), Magali misses with a big uppercut, a sweepign left hook lands from Mishiro.

Mishiro going into unchartered territory now!
