Live on Boxingraise and from the Korakuen Hall we get the 215th show in the main Dangan series.

The main event will see former JBC/OPBF/PABA champion Akinori Watanabe (36-7, 30) battle against Ryosuke Maruki (15-5-1, 10) for the Japanese interim Light Middleweight title, the regular champion Nobuyuki Shindo is out injured due to breaking his hand against Maruki in May.

The co feature sees former world title challengers collide as Shin Ono (22-9-3, 5) defends the Japanese Minimumweight title against Riku Kano (13-3-1, 7). Interestingly both of these men have lost in world title bouts to Katsunari Takayama. There is a 15 year age difference, both are southpaws and this could turn out to be action packed, or a sloppy mess fest.

The supporting card has two interesting match ups. One of those pits a puncher against skillster, as Kenshin Oshima (3-1-1, 3) faces Joe Tanooka (15-4-4, 1) whilst the other features the in form Kyosuke Sawada (11-2-1, 6) against former Japanese title challenger Yosuke Fujihara (17-5, 4).

1-These two have been brought in to open the show and that's what they are doing, a high pace set from the word go, they are trading shots straight away. Sasaki seemingly landing the better shots but with this being his debut I do wonder slightly about it being nervous energy. Sato pressing behind a high guard but being tagged around it.

2-Sato looking to use his feet a little more in round 2, Sasaki digging body shots in under the guard, Sato is looking worse for wear as the men clinch, more body work from Sasaki, this is phone booth stuff for the most part and Sato has realised it's not suiting him as he backs off and looks to create space. Sasaki cuts the gap down and again goes to the body, big head shots from Sasaki and the referee jumps in with Sato's knees buckling.

Sato impressed, nice style, good intensity...good debut!

I'm leaning that way by a smidge, Kano doesn't fare well against southpaws, and this is in his backyard I believe?

1-Oshima pressing from the off, managing to get his right hand into play against the southpaw Tanooka very early, Tanooka looking to use his foot work but think he's already realised he won't be able to get Oshima's respect and is clinching when Oshima gets close. Oshima touch wild, but he does rock Tanooka backwards, nice jabs by Tanooka but they look more like "stay away" shots than anything authoritative,a good right late by Oshima

2-Tanooka looking to use his footwork and jab but eats a right hand, Oshima showing more patience here, Tanooka really can't work on the inside and is holding every time they get close, huge right from Oshima, and another, Oshima works on the ropes! Think buzzed Tanooka for a second. Tanooka with a body shot, another right. And another. Oshima looks to unload a combination but Tanooka avoids it. A good straight left from Tanooka. A big single right from Oshima and another on the clacker.

Oshima is certainly in control, but only really landing single shots, if he manages to put 3 or 4 together he could have Tanooka in trouble

3-Oshima again landing single shots whilst Tanooka does little of note. Oshima going for a walk, think he's trying to draw a lead but Tanooka not giving him the counter opportunities. A real slow down from Oshima and Tanooka managing to get some of his own light singles to connect. Very scrappy and it's suiting Tanooka a lil more. Oshima tries to steal it late but...he gave littler through the round

4-A left from Tanooka, in fact Tanooka with a combination, a right from Oshima, a left from Tanooka, a body shot from Tanooka, Oshima has totally turned off or something here, a right hook from Tanooka, a body shot from Tanooka, a left hand by Tanooka, it's only singles but he's landing, body shot from Tanooka, and another left, he's now throwing in 2's and 3's, Oshima circling but not doing anything, a left from Tanooka, a right back from Oshima, Oshima misses with a right. Oshima on the retreat. Body shot by Tanooka, a hook by Tanooka. Oshima looking like he's zoned out mentally. This is bizarre from Oshima!

5-Tanooka on the front foot again, Oshima is backing off and not looking capable of fighting back like he needs to, but Oshima begins to dig in with some rights, takes a big body shot in return. A headclash has Oshima turn away in pain, Oshima's left eye looks to be marked up, Tanooka with a good straight left, both land body shots, Oshima is being pushed around and bullied. A good right by Oshima but Tanooka takes it well, another head clash, a body shot from Oshima.
