Like I said, you don't carelessly walk down Danny Garcia, without paying for it, easy work.

Garcia is really very good at catching guys right behind the ears and high on the neck. Not saying he does it intentionally but I wouldn’t doubt it. Remember the khan neck punch? He caught granados several times right behind his ear or right on his ear. Those shots suck to get hit with.

Granados? He was down against Imam, Gomez, x2 against Diaz, and x2 against Salser. He's never been stopped until now because he's tough as hell and generally recuperates well, but he's been dropped plenty of times.

That said, Garcia will generally excel against come forward fighters. That allows Garcia to land something big, and when that happens DSG is quite good at building upon that momentum.

I agree but I still think granados looked really off tonight. No pep, slow, timing seemed very off. Lagging.

This was a very predictable fight, truly easy to call. Danny was able to just stay there, let Granados throw wild and take his head off methodically.

because granados was rolling with those punches, expecting them on the jaw, so danny adjusted the distance, widening the hook about 5 inches. granados rolls, and gets hit behind the ear.

On the FS1 portion of this card...

Rolando Romero improves to 9-0, 8 KO's after dominating and then destroying Andres Figueroa (now 9-5) with a single left hook. Figueroa fell down hard onto his back, hitting the back of his head in the process. As a result, he was stretchered out...but did give a thumbs up sign, indicating that this was done as a precautionary measure.
