Danny always been a good dude.
His dad talks a lot but dont think he’s that bad either,just a marketing mouthpiece.

 

Loved this fight as just watched it this morning.
Danny looked like the old Danny from years ago.

I was Nashvile hanging with Nature Boy Ric Flair!!!!
Did a 3 D scan with him so they will make us each a wrestling figure.

This whole Danny crying got to me as I told Flair I’ve been a fan since I was 8 , yes that was in the 1970s, and told him when he won we all won and when he lost we all lost. Told him I prayed for his family when his son passed and I prayed for him daily when he was in that coma for 44 days back in 2019 or 2020. Told him I FKN loved his old aze. He grabbed my hands and cried saying “Thank you handsome”. He literally broke down and it touched my heart.

Do we have any inkling as to the cause of the anxiety and depression he faced?

 

I had DG winning all but two rounds. Hell he landed more body shots in each round than ole boy threw jabs. I felt this was a fantastic showing from DSG

 

It was also good matchmaking.
Benavidez made him look like a million bucks.

It was a good showing. It seemed like Benavidez won rounds 1 and round 9. Round 2 was a good comeback round for Garcia, and round 3 if I recall was the round that Benavidez started the round strong, landed several great shots on Danny early on but then Danny made a big comeback in the last 2 minutes and won that round. The other rounds (4-8, 10-12) were not dominant Garcia rounds, most of them were close. There was round 4 where Danny whiffed on that sneaky right hand, then Benavidez countered with the triple right hooks with Danny off balance. Benavidez was landing and keeping most of those rounds close, the criticism was he was admiring his work too much and not following up enough when he did have success. But when Benavidez did throw, it seemed like he was generally pretty accurate. Danny was picking off some of the shots with gloves or by movement, but he was still getting hit.

I was impressed with Garcia, don't get me wrong, he definitely outclassed Jose Benavidez and is the more capable fighter, but I just don't think he won many of those rounds clearly or dominantly. Benavidez was catching a lot of shots with his gloves, Danny was landing to the body, trying to get Benavidez to tuck his guard down so he could land upstairs. Danny wasn't landing very many clean shots to the head, a good amount of them were just flashy eye catching shots that hit mostly gloves.

 

Go and just watch the bodywork in every round

 

This would be a battle of Philly vs Michigan old school skills. I can see both guys winning this.
