I don't think so. Manuwa breaks pretty easily, and wouldn't be able to stuff the takedowns. Gustaffson/Teixera winner deserves the shot.
This confirms what myself and a couple of others have said for a long time. Jones-Cormier-Gus= H2H top 3 of the division.
Manuwa would be an easy defense for Cormier..... Bring it on for the summer, DC vs. winner of Gustaffson/Teixera in the winter.
Only caught the main event on BT sport and I know the result of the co-main, which I'll watch tomorrow. Physically Rumble's a real beast but he doesn't possess the mental strength to match his physical prowess. He's like the bully that folds when you stand up to them. He's a nice guy and I'm not suggesting he's not when I say that. He's just not as scary as you think he is if you stand up to him. But obviously that is easier said that done against someone who carries the kind of brutal power he possesses. DC has all the physical and mental tools to do just that though. X 2 now.
