Daniel Cormier vs. Frank Mir (THIS ACTUALLY IS HAPPENING!!!)

If DC wins this he will hold wins over Monson, Bigfoot, Barnett and Mir!!!

He would have to be seen as the best grappler in the HW division currently surely?! If he had a few more subs can you imagine?!?!

Cormier beats the **** out of Mir on the feet and beats the **** out of Mir on the ground. Frank has no chance. None.

I just hope JDS blasts Cain again. Pretty sure he will.

Werdum couldn't get him down... I like Werdum but I see no way he could take DC down. If he fights like he did against Roy... :hey What a fight we would have there!

If Cormier wins this decisively, he's a legit top 3 HW and should get a shot at Dos Santos over Overeem.

(There's no way that Cain's going to win the rematch. He just doesn't have the chin.)

 

Better than Sylvia, but a horrible matchup for Mir. Cheers to him for having the balls to take a fight against a guy whose style is just like two guys who totally crushed him. If Mir catches him on the feet he could finish him like he did Kongo, but that's the only way I can see him winning and I don't think there's much chance of that at all. I'd love to see Cormier against Velasquez though.

 

Why Mir instead of Werdum? If Cormier were to lose, Werdum has a better chance in a rematch with JDS than Mir does.

I would be way more interested in Cormier vs Fedor than any of this other ****.

 

I would rather see Cormier vs Fedor too - but this fight makes sense for Mir because he has no chance of winning the belt back with JDS and Velazquez at the top. Winning the Strikeforce belt gives him anotehr trophy for his case. It also gives Cormier a clear measuring stick for the UFC champion. JDS just dispatched Mir so let's see how Daniel does it.

 

Ideally Mir would have fought Barnett since they both would be coming off a loss in the UFC

And Werdum would have fought Cormier in Strikeforce

 

Cormier vs Werdum is a more interesting fight because it would be competitive. Cormier vs Mir won't be.
