On his night he can beat a lot of them. Daniel has power in both hands and a great chin. The 3 champs at 154 arnt exactly the cream of the crop.

Dawson shouldnt be fighting above 154 and never should have fought at 160 IMO. The fight against Geale he looked flat and i put that down to switching trainers. He should have stayed with Ron Parr as they work really well together.

Glad u think so....coz quite frankly his boxing skills are in no way shape or form even close to good enough to beat any of the champs...let alone anyone in say The Ring's or ESPN.com's top 10 or so.
On his best night he would be still taught a boxing lesson...just the honest truth mate.
Regarding his trainers...if he didnt take shortcuts in training we may have seen a better Dawson in with Geale.:deal

Boxing is a one punch sport. Dawson has the power to ko Verno Phillips or whoever else holds the titles.

Dont know about the shortcuts before the fight, I know he looks far better under Ron than under Craig.

Whether you think he hasnt got the skills is irrelivent. Many fighters over the years are sluggers and had great success. Think about what you are saying.

    Thanks for agreeing Robot.

Alot of us Aussies do get caught in seriously overrating some of our fighters...its normal we only want the best from them.
Hell i no i do it at times.:deal

Dawson had no plan B in he Geale fight he just kept doing the same thing round after round, yet then when he had his next televised kickboxing fight he mainly used his hands and looked to have a hell of a lot more combos and variation with his hands than he did v Geale.

Where did I say you did?

Look for Danny Perez to fill the vacancy v Angulo...

just cause they are aussies and may not have fought many big name overseas fighters doesn't mean they can't beat the best in the world either.

Well going by the track record a lot better fighters than Dawson from Aus havent been able to beat the elite of the world, Dawson can't even beat emerging guys like Dawson, so how he gonan beat the world champs?

If Lovemore Ndou can hold a belt then Dawson definently can. There have been far worse World chapions than Daniel. Im not saying he will beat the Sugar Shanes and Winky Wrights of the world. But a guy like Verno Phillips is there for the taking IMO.

You do know Lovemore beat another guy living in Aus with a padded record and first time he defended it against a b level fighter he was easily beat, and even b4 Lovemore has never beat a name fighter overseas.
