beat another sub standard opponent last night. why does a guy like this fight a guy that got beat in his last fight and carry on he is going to be the next greatest. he could have at least fought the guy (Nuumbemebe 18-3-1) that ntshilingia (15-7-3)lost to last?! would have been a half credible opponent even though both have fought nearly all fights at welter not jnr mid. dawson goes no where in my opinion if he couldn't even put a guy like this away.
Records mean nothing in boxing nowadays. Dawson is 32-1 and has beatan no one at all. The only notable fighter on his record is Geale who beat him by a landslide and the jury is still out on how good Geale actually is on the world scene.
Dont really see the point catch, Gealey dominated him. I dont know if Dan still kickboxes and boxes at the same time, I know he has to make a crust but surely it cant be good for either career if he splits his time between the two. Dawson is one of our hardest fighters around right now, in any combat sport. But I have said it before when faced with a situation in the ring where he cant use his feet, knees and elbows he looks a little lost. Love to see Dawson in with Vanes Martirosyan.
I agree, i mean it is good to keep busy, better than staying out. But look at him fighting these guys, then hwen he does step up, he loses. i do not mean this just with him. Look at Medley, fights guys he should beat easy, then when he faces a top test they cant make it since they havnt stepped up the comp slowly yet.
Can't see your point guys. Not everyone is going to be a world champion. Dawson and Medley are good quality main event fighters. Is there no place for that ?
point is he says he will be dual boxing and kb world champ but isn't close to being good enough in boxing.
Dawson will continue to fight bum after bum & then when he steps up will get taught a boxing lesson yet again. I called it years ago on this forum.:deal
Yeah imo the best chance for these guys to eally improve and have a shot at the higher level is to slowly increase their comp, not just increase their comp when the opp comes. Ala Sturm/Pittman.
Yes Dawson got schooled in his first fight with geale but I dont think we saw the best of him. Dawson will/should be a lot wiser the second time around and if he is on his game could put up a decent challenge to Geale. Geale will be a good guauge on how much, if any, Dawson has improved.
Yeah exactly Geale has moved onto much bigger things with 2 fights before the end of the year coming October 17 on FOX in a keep busy fight, before a big matchup on December 5 also on FOX.:deal
Awesome Kegs but not too big I hope. I still feel he could do with 4-5 softer fights before the top 20 guys to be honest.
