Dubois does have a punchers chance especially with Lewis extending his hand to throw a short jab and Dubois countering with a big overhand right hand. Exactly the type of punch that Lewis was vulnerable too. With that being said, you have to favour the ATG fighter here. Lewis possesses a devestating uppercut that Dubois is going to be quite open to. Lewis also had a deadly straight right hand and if Lewis throws long labs and catches Dubois with straight rights and uppercuts as he is coming in, he should win by a mid to late round stoppage. Lewis KO 7 though he probably gets staggered and hurt like he did vs Briggs. Dubious is a lot better than Briggs which is why i am giving him roughly a 15% punchers chance.
As long as lewis doesn't fall asleep he shouldn't get caught and would absolutely batter Daniel within 6 or 7 rounds
Daniel has a punchers chance- altough he still could do some serious damage to the end of career lewis. I think he"d keep Dubois at some nice distance- catching him with jabs and uppercuts coming in.
I don’t think anyone would really pick Dubios in this fight. Lewis has deeper resume and excelled at fighting sluggers, which Daniel is. That’s not to say that if Daniel came out aggressively like he did against Joshua that he couldn’t trouble Lewis or even Ko him but it’s hard to go with that as the likely outcome.
Dubois on his day was probably a bit better than McCall and Rahman but Lennox is too complete for Dubois: technically, mentally and physically. Think about the Vitali fight.
Is that really a good fight to cite? An overweight, underprepared Lewis winning a fight he was losing and had taken more punishment in than almost other by a cut...?
Lewis, unless overlooking Dubios, KOs him. Not a knock on Dubios who I like (the lovable lummox), but he's clearly levels below Lewis.
