Probably Dubious. He was green when he fought Joyce, 23 without star amateur pedigree and never had a competitive fight or a 12 rounder, best win Gorman or a faded Kevin. Joyce was effectively an Olympic gold medalist, 35, had gone 12 rounds and beat a much better opponent in Jennings. Even still, Dubois made it to the 10th and was legitimately ahead after 7. The version coming off stoppage wins over undefeated Miller and Hrgovic would likely have enough experience, maturity and confidence to win.

I would fancy Dubois to win but I also thought he would win when they did fight.

Joyce was never good. His flaws were always evident. He’s just a very tough guy. He’s slow and his head was always stationary. Any well schooled boxer should have broke him. Those are few and far between at hw.

I think that says more about dubois and parker. Joyce is what he is.

Benavidez cannot punch through a wet tissue compared to Patterson.

    Joyce.
He was good in his prime, these losses have got to him mentally and he’s aged also.
Joyce’s jab is far too varied and Dubois attacks far too straight on and steps in too far with the jab.
