Daniel Dubois accepts challenge to fight Dave Allen in December, O2 London

He never looked close to beating Pricey, who admittedly fought a good fight.

A heavy bag would have at least made Price fall over from exhaustion eventually.

I just dont like how this potential fight makes me feel.

 

People talk about David Price getting opportunities but what the **** has dumbass Dave Allen ever done to keep getting these chances? He's not even reached the level of a prime Sam Sexton IMO.

 

Horrible mismatch.

I won't enjoy seeing Allen get beat up, he's a nice guy. This fight shouldn't be sanctioned, Allen has too much courage for his own good and may get seriously hurt.

 

I'd love Allen to win but wish for a credible fight

 

Not a good idea for Allen considering he was sent to hospital after the Price fight. Dubois will seriously hurt him.

 

This is probably one too much for Dave Allen. I don't think he should ever stepped in the same ring with David Price but Price at least gave him a chance with his glass jaw...but Dubois? Come on. This is a mismatch and Allen will take another massive punishment for a couple of rounds it's lasting. Not necessary. He should either fight some guys on his level or retire. No need to damage his brain more than it is already. He might end up in the same way like some sad examples recently.

 

Dave Allen would have more success if he were to put a fully loaded .44 Magnum revolver to his head and pull the trigger.

Does he have a death wish or something?

 

Also it is not like Allen is some ferocious puncher who has a chance against anyone. Like in the past when you put guys like Price or even old Briggs in fights they are over matched but at least have a shot because they are big punchers.

 

After last night's result, don't think I can bring myself to watch this.

Allen looked really good in training leading up to the Price fight. Not only was in good shape, he was looking like an actual boxer.
But none of it translated into the actual fight.
Allen just lacks that mental switch, or is having a hard time finding it.

Reminded me of Kovalev-Pascal 2. A member of Pascal´s camp said that Roach had worked on a lot of good things with Pascal, but Jean wasn’t able to utilize any of it during the fight.

 

To be fair Allen has more punching power than anyone Dubois has fought yet and will be the only fighter to give Dubois rounds except Johnson. Dubois other talked about possible opponent in Wallin doesn't have the power and won't last long against Dubois.
