Daniel Dubois gets number 2 ranking for WBO

Let’s see if Dubois can get past Joyce first, if ddd can’t get Joyce out of there in the first 3 rounds I think Joyce will beat him

 

Obviously a ludicrous ranking off of the win over Snijders but this is the WBO. Warren did a lot to support the WBO in the 90's so it's not surprising they would do Frank a favour but let's be honest it's meaningless unless the WBO order an eliminator which with Warren looking ensure Dubois doesn't get derailed anytime soon by careful matchmaking isn't likely to happen.

 

Most people felt Martin was pretty terrible to have in a title fight at that point. He wasnt meant to win though and Glazkov injury gifted him a title which he then sold at the first opportunity.

Dubois doesnt deserve to be no2 by any conventional ranking system but we all know how the governing bodies work and if Dibois can get an easier run at a title then by all means they could take it (obviously noninferring Usyk is an easy run at a title).

Martin benefitted hugely from the random circumstances of the time.

 

Ring magazine- the only rankings that matter.

The sanctioning bodies have terrible rankings. A magazine has more credibility than the sanctioning bodies.

I like Dubois but he's not done anything to warrant a place in any top 10 let alone #2.

Usyk would school him at this stage.

 

Dubois will batter him. I am very confident about it. He will turn it to a tear up and Uysk won't want any part of that. Already seen how Witherspoon the fatso marked Uysk up. It wont be pretty when Dubois loads on him lol

 

Dubois could be a great heavyweight in the making, only time will tell.

Hopefully we'll see him in with some of the better heavyweight during the next few years. It would be good to see him fight in the USA.

he struggled to beat Johnson, got clocked by 334th in world at the time lartey and beat an overrated gorman.

Yep! Dubois is totally overrated and is a brutal KO waiting to happen. When will be people learn? This is Price and Harrison all over again. Stiff bodybuilder Dubois is getting taken to the cleaners VERY soon. He might get past Joyce because he's stiff as a board himself and easy to hit but that's far from a given. 50/50 fight.

 

Find you a girl that treats you the way the WBO treats Warren fighters

 

I think Dubois stops him. Usyk fantastic cruiser but I don’t think his style and attributes translate well to HW. Never seen him marked up after a fight like he was post 6 rounds with Witherspoon who was basically a walking heavy bag.

 

Clearly Dubois doesn’t deserve that ranking, but the Dubois/Joyce winner getting a title shot wouldn’t be the worst thing.

Usyk schools him, obviously.
