He's packing some hyper-fragile china in that shaky mandible. Down three times against some aging cruiser in the first round. Against a real HW he takes a canvas nap early.
Those knockdowns were strange maybe the first one was to the temple but the other 2 looked like he just took a knee
I was so confused on what happened. I thought a shot may have made him lose his equilibrium or something but that fight had to have been fixed regardless. No chin. None. Horrible recovery too. He's even worse than Aj in all departments !! How is that even possible 0 talent. 0 brain. 0 ability. And 0 chin.
Dubois by the skin of his teeth and a very biased ref with a BS stoppage got him through that fight tonight, that was very nearly a David Price moment and the end of a promising career. Let’s see how long it is before it is a Pricey moment !
He did look fragile against Lerena that's for sure. But first round knockdowns can be weird, fighters are not dialed in yet and can go down from shots that later on in the fight they can take easily. Just look at JMM first round against Pac, had that fight ended in rd 1, people might have said he had a bad chin, but Marquez proved over the years he had a granite chin. Right now his chin is dubious. DDD should stand for Daniel "Dubious" Dubois. I need to see it tested more to really know for sure and no doubt it will be tested, he's far too easy to hit.
That first Knockdown threw his equilibrium off and had he not taken those knees he would have gotten stopped.. That said his recovery is terrible and as I said previously and Top 15 HW would have finished him.. He’s by far more robotic with his movements than AJ.. Mind you Lerena is very small for HW and just moved up this year as he been at Cruiser his whole career.. If he hurt Dubois imagine what natural HWs can do.. Even his win against Gorman had just aged bad as he himself was KO’d in the 1st round against Wardley..
Lerena is 30, "aging cruiser" is a stupid criticism. "Light punching cruiser" sure. "Lightly regarded cruiser" definitely. A younger, greener Dubois fought a "real HW" in Joyce and got to the 10th round before quitting, with the first 8 rounds being 50-50.
