Some people are actually excited about Ajagba, but I think that he is overrated. Efe is regarded as one of the "boxing comeback stories" of 2023 - but I think that's nonsense. He's still the same fighter who Sanchez gave a boxing lesson to and had to instigate an exchange of low blows with Kossobuitsky in the hope that his own A-side status would get the latter DQ'ed. And beating a jet-lagged Aussie who had a bit of hype because he stopped a jet-lagged American - doesn't count for all much. Efe has some power in his right hand, but he's ordinary. Ajagba a very beatable opponent for Du Bois, IMO, and regarded as dangerous enough to raise his profile. Seems like a good fight to make.
Good fight, tough to call. For some reason I'd lean towards Ajagba on this occasion, I feel like both will get plenty of shots in, but I feel that Ajagba has the slightly better punch resistance out of the 2.
I was a huge critic of Ajgba when he was being pushed on here before losing to Sanchez who I rate highly. But I think Ajagba has improved and could potentially be in the top 10 mix in time.
Ajagba consistently takes on other prospects and contenders. Don't think he's that great, but deserves props for his role in making the HW division more interesting.
A great fight for a big event, I favor Dubois because I consider him the better fighter, but I wouldn't be surprised if Ajagba wins, we need fights like this...
Ajagba isn't overrated at all. He's underrated whenever people consider him at all. Just because he looks a teeny bit like Wilder's identical twin doppelganger clone mini me doesn't mean he fights like him. Like others have said, Ajabga constantly fights other prospects and tough fighters and always looks to improve. He's a better fighter today than he was when he lost to Sanchez (who himself is quite underrated) and would likely take a limited slugger like Dubois out in quite a clinical fashion.
