I wouldn't write Price off so hastily.

We all know he's flawed, but he's far more experienced at a much higher level than anyone Dubois has faced. This experience may make a difference on fight night.

I'd back Dubois for the win, but wouldn't be surprised at all if Price pulled it off. Impossible to tell how prospects will look until they step up in levels.

 

I'd actually really like to see Fury vs Price if he's serious about fighting in December.

It's someone Fury should beat fairly easily if he's on his game - but Price is still a name and it would generate lots of interest domestically.

Fury vs Price for main event plus a decent undercard featuring Joyce, Dubois etc.. just before Xmas.. think it would do pretty well as a PPV by BT standards.

 

Price is ranked higher than Wallin and Schwarz etc. I know he gets criticised for always being on PPVs but he still hasn’t had a BIG payday. I wouldn’t begrudge him the Fury fight and a nice pay day after being wronged by not one but two drug cheats.

 

This. But we all know that Fury won’t risk the Wilder rematch by fighting anyone remotely dangerous or hard hitting in December, if he fights at all

 

Price doesn't do that, Price never comes out swinging.

 

Would be cool - there's the needle between them a few years ago and also Price beat Fury in the amateurs apparently so there's a bit of history. Think it would get lots of interest domestically despite Fury being heavy favourite.

 

Can't write Price off completely in this one, but you have to favour Dubois and I don't really want to see Price brutally KO'd AGAIN.

 

Yeah I know but he should. Instead you see him just pacing himself, not using his jab with any authority before he usually runs out of puff (excluding the Allen fight).

 

Certainly would watch it, but I'd worry for Price's health and doubt to see him fight again afterwards

 

Kevin Johnson isn't a bad boxer and Dubois outboxed him in every round, he'd probably do the same to David Price before delivering a brutal KO. That said, Price can bang and if he connects well he could shock a few people, huge if in 2019 though.

 

They need to stop matching Price up with big punchers. Acceptable opponents for Price would be for an example:

Szpilka
Browne
Molina
Ustinov
Hammer II
Teper II

Yet all I hear is Price's name being associated with guys like Dubois, Gassiev, Hrgovic ffs.

 

In what world does Price not get KTFO within the first 3 rounds?

Honestly, people talking about him keeping Dubois at range and lasting into the second half of the fight, have a word with yourself
