    Don't worry. It is a non-title fight.

Only the very best and elite are allowed to fight for a WBA title.

Dokiwari wasn’t THAT bad that a comparison could be scoffed at out of hand. They actually have quite a bit in common. Both have a very similar boxing style w/ similar shortcomings. Both were hyped for a minute as potential next big things, and both got their cherries picked by prospects who used their scalps as momentum to go on to do things at world level. I think Dubois’ career will continue to go on a similar trajectory. As for the guys you mentioned context has to be applied here. Gorman is area level; Fujimoto would’ve been a good scalp to collect if you beat him in a K1 ring 12 or 13 years ago; Johnson would’ve been a solid name for an up and comer 6-7 years ago (Dubois looked terrible in that fight btw). Talent wise Dinu is probably the best one but he’s known to be lazy and just turn up for a paycheck and that’s exactly what he did.

DuBois taking the easy path by fighting a C level opponent that does nothing for his development.
