Daniel Dubois vs Joe Frazier primes

Frazier has the kryptonite for Dubois, at least so far as I have seen of Daniel yet, and I am a fan. Pressure, work rate, quicks, endless gas tank.

 

I dont keep up with modern, got confused.

 

My first thought was that Dubois hasn't reached his prime yet. Going with current Dubois against prime Joe I have to side with Frazier. Dubois has been knocked down a bit too often and I think Joe would find a way to finish him.

 

Don’t forget the Dubois- Joyce fight either. Joyce is molasses slow, has absolutely zero head movement, doesn’t hit all that hard despite his size (DD’s injury notwithstanding) but still managed to out jab DD and walk him down. I don’t begrudge Dubois quitting in this instance as his injury was serious but he was also gassed and starting to get dominated by a pretty limited fighter in big Joe.

I think Dubois has improved and I like his willingness to test himself but he’s still very flawed and very beatable. I’m not sure he beats Parker tbh.
