It has to be since people pay money to watch good fights. An A side vs a a shot bum should be illegal.

Only way Warren would risk his boy's chin is a ppv.

That is what it would be at this stage (WBO final eliminator) not that it’s set to happen

Let’s commend these two fighters for getting it on, when both could easily have continued to pad their resumes with lower euro-level fodder or “names” who are past it.

Leaning toward Dubois, since I rate him more. Do think Joyce has a better chin though, so it’s an intriguing fight.

Right? WTF? Promoters suck and they are the main reason boxing isn't what it used to be, for myriad reasons. And this fight is a good example of one of those reasons. They are prospects, not even contenders or champions. They should be fighting on free TV to get their exposure out there so if they ever are champions, you can make people pay to see them fight. Wicked dumb "strategy"

These promoters rarely seem to go for the long game strategy. It´s all about the quick buck or a cash out event.

    Great fight.

I actually respect Joyce more for taking this, he has so much to lose. If DDD sparks him then.....what next??? 34 and nowhere near a top 15 in any org

If DDD makes a good account of himself win or lose he will have the respect of the fans and community

This would be an awesome fight, never thought it'd get made - too much for Joyce to lose and early for such a big test for Dubois... a lot of ways of looking at it for either man but I'm rooting for Dubois

22 may be young, but at 34 Joyce is not a young heavyweight even by todays standards, and is older than Whyte, Fury and AJ. Great fight, however.

I think it's a consequence of recent events surrounding Warren and BT sport. He put time and money into Fury who upped sticks for Top Rank and BJS who went to Hearn. He's thus short of headliners and if the plan was for bt box office to start paying off the bt investment in boxing, then bt sport will also be on his case.

I think they briefly flirted with building Joyce, but gave up due to style/personality issues. So moving DDDto PPV asap is their answer.

Daft fight to take for Joyce.

Risking his carer before its really got going.

Why not take a safer route to a title shot.

Dubois can lose and comeback he's young. A loss for Joyce and its game over, hed too old.

I like both these guys, hope Joyce wins

From my 68 yrs of perspective, Joyce is young. You whippersnapper.
