So Dubois fights the best version of Max Baer. Who walks away the winner?

Probably Baer, Dubois is tough and better fundamentally but I find he’s too hittable to survive against Maxie.

Never said Baer wasn’t hittable, but he is more wxplosive, likely more powerful and probably also more durable, with better cardio. Also probably has Dubois beaten in the headbutting department as well, which is how Dubois was able to get as much success against Hrgovic as he ended up getting.

In a firefight between two hittable fighters, I’m picking the more powerful, more explosive and more durable man.

Baer in 1931 dropped a 20 round decision. Even in a loss it’s a nod to the times men were trained for the possibility of those rounds so Maxie had great stamina by comparison.

I really don’t think Dubois is anywhere near as hittable as Baer. I also think he has options that Baer doesn’t here.

Baer at his best is a deal better than Dubois, but he could come in inconsistent.

At this stage we will have to go with Baer, but Dubois has time to change our minds.

You calling Max Baer “The Great” ironically (if that is the case) is a bit disrespectful he did very well and was heavyweight champ when it was a pretty big deal.

Dubois with or without juice? Cause if it's Dubois as juiced to the gills as he was against Hrgo, then I'm picking him and his superhuman powers.

He really was great. He was a HW champion, had a big punch, was pretty durable.
