Are you drunk, or are you arguing for the sake of arguing? None of your post seems to make much sense. What do other governing bodies have to do with the WBA, in this context? The inception of the WBC, IBF and WBO had little to do with the supposed historical "fragmentation of the WBA", which is a fallacious statement in itself. The WBA did not become fragmented until 2011. The fragmentation of professional boxing governance is another matter. Not at all. There are many things in life that are obvious, that are dismissed and even oppressed. I don't know what planet you live on if you think that people always make sense of what is obvious. I'm presuming that this is a joke, but it's not a very good one. The moment you retire, you are not the champion of anything. You are the former X, Y or Z champion. The title of undisputed world champion represents the current boxer who holds the title across the four governing bodies. It's nice to know that any discourse that opposes the fragmentation of the WBA and subsequent marketing of the "WBA World Champion", with facts, is now a cliché. It will have to remain a cliché, too, because there is nothing else to say about any of the former WBA (regular) "world champions" like Povetkin, Charr, Browne and Bryan. They are simply not world champions, for the reasons stated.
Ditch the alphabet belts and just go by the Ring Magazine. It's generally only fought for by #1 and #2 in the division and would follow the UFC model where #1 has to fight #2 to keep the belt.
I assume he'll face Manuel Charr looking at the WBA rankings? I couldn't imagine Don King letting Trevor Bryan face Dubois? Or maybe Kabayel, but I think Kabayel is just waiting for a payday.
Will be on that American card with the youtube lad. Tommy Fury on it as well to build up that potential fight. I ****int hope this ain't on ppv
It’s listed on Boxrec for 29/08/21. Strange it being on a Sunday unless it’s just on in the early hours here on Sunday morning. Definitely think it will be on PPV if Dubois and Fury are on the card unfortunately.
No they are very much linked, hence the expansion of fragmentation in recent years. To not challenge the obvious would lead to a very boring, stagnated existence. You are explaining, what is perceived as a generally recognised champion. To be undisputed, as I mentioned would require no fighting... You know, you can do better, than throwing out clichés!
But a boxer cannot be the lineal champion, if he retired. He also cannot be it if he is found to have taken PEDs.
Can’t believe ‘never been stopped’ is now classed as a legitimate achievement on people’s records. There’s journeymen with over 50 defeats who’ve never been stopped.
A "huge boxing card" headlined by a fake you tube celebrity boxer. With chief support being a fake love island celebrity boxer.. Kind of sums up the state of boxing (if not society) just there.
