Very impressive, I thought it was a mismatch.

By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing
IBF#5 Daniel Geale (24-1, 15 KOs) moved closer to a IBF middleweight title shot when he stopped IBF#3 Roman Karmazin (40-4-2, 26 KOs) in round twelve of IBF elimination contest at the Olympic Park Sports Center, Homebush, Sydney, NSW, Australia on Sunday. Geale outworked Karmazin in most of the rounds as he consistently connected with accurate combinations on his taller opponent. Karmazin suffered a cut above left eye due to accidental head clash in round six. Referee Pat Russell saved Karmazin from further punishment at 2.30 of round twelve and crowned Geale. The Australian will now challenge Sebastian Sylvester for the title in 2011.
In the co-feature, IBF #9 lightweight Lenny Zappavigna (25-0,17KO’s) dropped IBF#3 Ji-Hoon Kim (21-7,18KO’s) of Goyang City , South Korea, twice in round one and the import was in no condition to defend himself when referee Wayne Kelly saved him from further punishment at 1.41 of in a second IBF elimination bout.

Anyone who decisively beats Roman Karmazin is a real deal.

Problem is they're a dime a dozen at that class.

He will be competitive with Sylvester. He loses to Golovkin, Williams, Martinez, Pirog and Pavlik.

I sadly never see him fight but i guess you need to be a top-10 to beat Karmazin.

Karmazin was pretty much done and nearly lost to Dionisio Miranda not too long ago. a guy whos hardly a top100 and he did not beat Sylvester in their fight who did next to nothing to win it. Nevertheless decent win for Geale that earns him a shot on Sylvester

Sadly Karmazin is past it. He's been looking old in his last fights, which sucks because I thought he was a great fighter in his prime, but life was tough on him. Should have had a lot more to show for his talent.

    What does that mean??

I this the same Mundine that beat Danny Green who beat RJJ ............... get a life and get over the Sven Ottke from 2001 drip.

Mundines a ***** but hasn't been defeated since a decision lose to Kessler in 2005, i'd say that's not bad form by Geale who lost a disputed split decision to Mundine.

Geale is on the verge of top 5 MW after destoying Karmazin

Wow, Zappavigna has really redeemed himself after that terrible outing against Angulo. First, KO'ing Sumba in 2 rounds, pretty good, and then stopping Kim in one round! Wow, that's impressive.
