Great to see Gealey defending his title in tassie, he always said if he became champ he would hold his 1st defence in his home town.

I'm sure it was easy work picking an opponent as they need to be in the top 15...considering 1 & 2 aren't rated...and another 4 of the top 10 are in the box off and another 2 priced themselves out...dont leave many to choose from :deal

Good to see Daniel Geale defending his title in his home state. I assume that next he'll have to defend against a mandatory challenger determined by the IBF?

 

Only what you can see from Boxrec.....I have never seen him before but he's 24-4 or something and fights in the USA

Seen Albert fight a few times on ESPN, ShoBox i believe also & the such.

Not a ordinary fighter by any means but 1 who is not huge at Middleweight & doesnt have devastating power.
Albert wouldnt cost a tonne to bring out to Australia either & isnt in my overall Middleweight top 15.
So as a 1st defense you could say its a slightly soft touch but remembering Geale will have a mandatory due by next year i think its fine for now.
Good to see Gealey staying active also & not sitting on the shelf for too long.
