Golovkin was supposed to fight Mundine, even offered to do it in Australia but Mundine turned down a title shot in his hometown rather than fight him back in 2010. After Njikam already backed out and Sturm paid to be elevated to Super Champ for the same reason.

Hes a good fighter from what I can see, but until he gets in the ring with a top level middleweight like Geale, then Im reserving judgement.

Geale beat a guy tonight that would arguably have been GGG's best opponent if GGG fought him.

Geale had a loss to him and wanted to avenge it and make a lot of aussie dollars in the meantime.

This fight made perfect sense.
