I think Pirog would win this one too. Geale's a solid fighter but he's not got anything really threatening about him apart from high work rate.

Pirog is just the better fighter in my opinion.

Rubbish! Geale will beat Pirog and Martinez, much better boxer. People forget Geale has an extensive amateur career which Martinez dont have. He won't hit him much.

Andy Lee Vs Golovkin would be ace also. Would really get the ball rolling. Barker Vs Macklin. If Sergio spanked Chavez in the interim we could really see life in the division again, with a genuinely viable challenger being presented to him at the end of it.

He can't get a super fight. We can at least give him a challenger who's really gonna' give him a go.

It is about time someone takes the division by the scruff of the neck. Martinez should not have fought Macklin or Barker, he should have gone after titles to re-affirm his dominance.

Pirog's promoter said that they negotiated with Sturm, Geale, Barker, Murray, Bursak, Zbik, N'Jikam.

Some were injured, some were unavailable, some like Sturm simply refused to negotiate.

Right now there're in talks with Ishida but WBO doesn't want to sanction the fight.

hopefully as flea said this is the start of sorting out middleweight

props to HBO too for making this fight - it should be the goal of HBO Tv to unify all the original divisions at all times

Geale is a decent fighter. Good output and decent skills. I think he has a very good chance if it goes the distance.

If both these come off that will be very good. There's a lot of talent knocking around the division, it'll be great to see them all square off against each other.
