Interesting matchup...how do you guys see it?

With as much as Pirog got hit today...Geale's work-rate would make this a very interesting fight. I'd take the Aussie by UD.

This is going to be a very close fight. Pirog can beat Geale more convincingly than Mundine did, but I could definitely see Geale outworking Pirog too. Even the promoters are pretty even so no real pull.

I'v seen people say that i i don't understand that thinking. Pirog is a volume puncher and can throw 90+ a round and seems to have a higher workrate than Geale.

More important is Geale has a good defense but relies alot on maintiaining distance, jumping in with his shots and getting back out, he doesn't like exchanging or staying in the pocket. Pirog has a good size advantage and is a pressure fighter very good at cutting off the ring. Dima's defense is a little better overall imo and more important is that it's equally good at any range and his style forces the issue. Geale won't be able to fight at his preferred pace or range and his defense is nohere near as effective when he's in the pocket where he will be the majority of the time. Jacobs tried boxing Pirog from the outside, is bigger, and probably quicker than Geale but to no success.

He can throw 90 punches a round against the Gennady Martirosyan's, Nobuhiro Ishida's, Javier Maciel's, and Daniel Jacob's of the world.

Geale doesn't need to throw 90 a round, he just picks his shots and lands more against the Roman Karmazin's, Osumana Adama's, Anthony Mundine's, and Sebastian Sylvester's of the world.

As you can tell, the level of competition is nowhere near comparable. Geales' resume is far superior to Pirogs'.
