Maxwell comes out throwing a 1-2-1-2 combo. Akauola dancing though, he gets away. Flashes out a couple of jabs bouncing to the right to the left. Maxwell coming in a bit reckless throwing a straight right, left hook. Digs to the body. Maxwell pounding Akauola to the body, up against the ropes. Akauola perfect Maxwell eats it up. Maxwell coming in, slowing down a bit, now Maxwell coming in throwing a flurry in the corner AND DOWN GOES AKAULOA A flash knock down., though.

 

Steve Maxwell starts off round 2 pumped up, Akauola dancing not throwing much. Maxwell coming in throwing combos, left hook to the body lands, left hook to the head, Akauola up against the ropes, Maxwell landing and throwing a lot. Crowd loves it. Akauola dances away and lands a left hook, Maxwell coming straight in though, he doesn't feel it. Big right hand lands for Maxwell, followed by a left hook, Akauola shkaes his head, now up against the ropes again. Maxwell coming in, body shot, head shot, left hook, right hand. John Akauola in the corner, and they trade left hooks to end the round.

 

Maxwell jumping in with a left hook, lands on the temple. Maxwell, no jab, jumping in with punches, John Akauola throws out a couple of right jabs from the southpaw position, Maxwell leaping in with a left hook lands. Akauola dancing away, they both throw...ref stops the action...maxwell cut, probably from a headbutt. Doctor let's it continue, Akauloa gaining confidence now, left hand, right hand lands for Akauloa. Uppercut surprises Maxwell, Maxwell lands a glancing right hand. Jab, right hand by Maxwell, Akauloa dips down and dances away, Akauloa dancing around the ropes, Maxwell comes in left hand to the body, up to the head. Akauloa still dancing and that ends the round.

 

Maxwell starts off not as aggressive, throwing out a couple of jabs. John Akauola lands a counter right hook, now dancing away, as Maxwell gets aggressive and misses. Akauloa lands a couple of jabs, here comes Maxwell jumping in with a looping right hand, right uppercut pops Akauola's head up, Akauola dancing away, Maxwell coming on now, Akauloa feeling it, up against the ropes, Maxwell landing lefts and rights to the head and body. Akauloa lands a counter left hand, as he dances to his right.

 

Round 5 starts off as Maxwell jabs a bit, Akauola jabbing as well, dancing to his left. Maxwell jumps in and pushes Akauola to the ropes, and Maxwell throwing bombs and firing away, still up against the ropes, Akauola not throwing dipping and diving BIG LEFT HOOK, BIG UPPERCUT, AKAUOLA STILL ON THE ROPES! HE'S BEEN ON THE ROPES FOR ABOUT 40 SECONDS NOW AND MAXWELL IS STILL THROWING! BIG LEFT HOOK AND THAT'S IT! NO! Ref is giving Akauola a standing 8. Akauola is now got Maxwell on the ropes, Maxwell says come on and is firing away, Now Maxwell pushes AKauloa back AND THERE NOW THROWING BOMBS AGAINST THE ROPES! OH AND THE ROUND ENDS! GREAT ROUND!

 

Akauloa lands a big left hand and that buzzes Maxwell, that caught his attention. But Maxwell is alright and he is now moving forward once again, throwing a lot, but missing with a lot. Akauloa is up against the ropes again, but quickly dances away. Maxwell putting the pressure and Akauloa drops to his knee, and the ref says no knockdown. Akauloa is definitely really tired, 30 seconds left and he decides to lay on the ropes and they both are going to throw some bombs. Akauloa dipping, lots of head movement. Maxwell is a machine firing away, Akauloa throwing the 1-2 every once in awhile and that's it. Good fight.
