Uhh...:blood :huh WTF were you guys thinking here, exactly? :yep Albert is one hard headed mother****er (even the lump is hard!) + Geale isn't a puncher = Obvious KO win for Geale??? :? (early, no less???????????????????) Seriously. It was one thing for all the homers to laugh me out of the Aussie forum at the suggestion that Geale probably WOULDN'T knock him out (it sounds like this went exactly as my inner Manny Steward thought it would go - an honest day's toil at the office, decision win for Geale) - but y'all should know better, homies. After all, impartiality is all that separates the homers from the homies. Well, that and the letters "i" and "r". :think A few years back Albert was a somewhat well known fighter appearing with semi-regularity on American TV. Y'all simply must have forgot how tough he is. He got stopped ONCE. By James Kirkland (yeah yeah, who's been exposed...yadda yadda. The guy can freaking BANG). On a body shot. Geale is nowhere near Kirkland's level of power. Sure, an accumulation stoppage was possible due to sheer volume but it isn't like Albert is some inexperienced chump who's gonna fold when a few long flurries are flown in his face. Someone been eating bananas and not making proper use of the trash receptacle? Because Y'ALL TRIPPIN! :bart
To be honest, the only thing I knew about this guy is that he got steamrolled by James T. Kirkland and lost his big fights. With Geale's obvious talent and reasonable power I expected him to dominate and stop him quite early... I was wrong... Acted on too little info :conf I'm going to be ashamed of myself in one of the corners of my office.
Geale's power is unreasonable, I tells ya! :yep Nah, he ain't quite Malignaggi but he is definitely a work-rate guy and a much lighter-than-average hitter for a world champion. He only managed to stop my beloved Karmazin by outworking and goverwhelming the old man. It looks an impressive result on paper (and was an impressive win - it just paints the wrong portrait of Geale if you misinterpret it as having been a conked-out-cold KO rather than a case of official's discretion).
I've sparred with both Geale and Langford (nobody else here is old enough to do this) and while Langford is a legendary hitter, Geale is more powerful. So there. :bart
Pleads to defense your relevants, my Slovenlyan fraternal! Hubert Geale and Seville Langford aren't even boxers, they're the May-December gay couple that lives in the apartment across the hall from yours. :?
Gracias senor Butt. Funny enough I just got into the new age smartphone things about 3 weeks ago or so....hmm, well I guess there's really nothing funny about that, now is there? It's like I walk up and say "hey funny enough I got this new phone" You wouldn't be pissing your pants with laughter, you'd just be like, "eh, alright...cool?" So, really no use to say funny enough....
