Round 3

Geale is jumping on Wood from outside with chopping flurries. Wood is backing away in a turtle shell and looking to counter with an overhand right but not finding Geale with it. Wood tries straight right hand leads from outside on the backfoot. Geale is peeking around either side of his guard, shimmying as he applies pressure and uses body-feints, darting halfway in and reining up, not getting in Wood's range. Wild series of waist-high uppercuts by Wood marching in on Geale, who slips them with side to side turns while moving. Geale curls a hook over the back of Wood's head. Lead hook, right hand, hook, right hand combo by Geale pushing Wood onto the ropes, all partly blocked.

He will probably knock Wood out at this rate but this sort of aggression would be a huge mistake versus Golovkin. None of Geale's best punches would bother Golovkin even slightly.

 

Round 4

Geale is circling wide, leaning deeply to his right and swerving in either direction as Wood hurls big telegraphed looping body shots at him, missing. Geale is primarily exhibiting defense so far in the fourth, but slapping Wood just enough in the clinch and touching him with the jab outside to score points.

They clinch up and Geale hammers at Wood, borderline rabbit punch, down Wood goes. Not ruled a knockdown. Geale is jabbing, rolling fist over fist, then springing in with a chopping right on Wood's guard before slapping a hook on his face. NICE right hand pushed through by Wood, his best punch of the night catching Geale circling. Wood rushes in but can't follow up. Geale is moving off the ropes, slick. Wood pursues. PICTURE PERFECT COUNTER RIGHT ON THE BUTTON BY GEALE. WOOD IS DOWN HARD!! Incredibly, a count is applied. Even more incredibly, they continue. BIG flurry by Geale, looking to finish. Wood is saved by the bell.
