He didn't really contradict himself, maybe you just weren't picking up what he's putting down? :hey "Even if Sturm doesn't come in as lazy, even taking that factor out of the equation, Geale's work rate still bothers him", I think is the gist of what Persian was getting at, which I agree with.
Speaking of people contradicting themselves....atsch How can a boxer become a "world-class contender" by beating a "regional club fighter"??
Keep on yipping, little doggy. You clearly are starved for some playtime, but I would recommend a nice soft chew toy and not a bull mastiff. Did I say he became world class because he beat Wood? No, you Mongoloid, I was expressing the difference in class by saying that Geale looked what he is (a world ranked contender) while conversely Wood looked what he is (a regional club fighter), and the match went how you would expect such a match to go. Keep on grasping at straws in your attempts to bait someone into arguments you're ill-equipped to have, though. :good Best of luck to you.
 You couldn't help but spill your voracious hate for slant-eyed people ...I knew it ! Reported :hi:
Havent seen you resort to unsavoury personal invective before Buttsy! A new low eh? And you from the land of free speech too. Tut tut. dear oh dear. Youre a bit like the guy predicting rain...sooner or later you'll be right. You pick Barker to beat Sturm and he lets you down, now its Geale... So STURM is flapper Geale BEST route to a title is he?? Have you forgoteen that Sturm already beat Geale (in all bar the judges eyes) while going through his couldnt care less phase - not even getting out of second gear?
I dont mind it personally, but having worked for many years with special needs kids = its on THEIR behalf that I object to his behaviour.
A bit of free advice, Len, you probably ought to STFU and quit while you're behind. This is the second time in a week you've been caught out twisting my words or flat-out inventing words to put in my unwilling mouth. Not something anybody really appreciates. The next time you attempt such oral **** on me, you can expect a lot worse in reply. :good No offense, but you are honestly a terrible debater. Among the worst on ESB. You should probably stop picking arguments when all you can do is make **** up or exaggerate others' positions wildly enough to beggar all credulity. Bush league straw man stuff. You are becoming a laughingstock.
Well aint that the beauty of "Free Speech", Buttsy? People can listen to us, assess what is said, and make up their own mind. I mean Im just a "Mongoloid" and a "laughingstock" after all. So you got nothing to worry about then, right? Right??
http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=427127&page=38 The general consensus was that the fight could have gone either way. Hardly a highway robbery.
Look I was shooting from the lip a bit bit there Drew. But I think I scored it to Felix by a few points. I seem to remember it being a competitive performance by a courageous Geale against an AWFUL Sturm. Sturms second worst ever performance IMO. As I recall most (or quite a few anyway - Im going from memory) thought Sturm nicked it, no?? I mean even if it was close Felix WAS champ and he WAS at home.....
I dunno, len. It's one of the few close fights in my time of posting where pretty much everyone posting agreed that there was maybe a round or two in it, at most. I personally thought the decision was fair, especially given the fact that the champ/hometown fighter often gets the benefit of the doubt. Truth be told, Sturm looked better in this fight than he did against Soliman...and I actually had Sturm ahead in that contest. Felix has regained a bit of his mojo since then, I'll grant...so I wouldn't be comfortable predicting a rematch btx Geale and Sturm at all...
Yes soliman was an even worse performance by Felix! I thought I'd scored a win for soliman! but when I totalled my numbers I had it a draw. As for the Geale fight there were a few other factors, pro-Geale and against Sturm. The timing of the fight is important. Here was a genuinely nice guy, bravely travelling around the globe to face the champ. Plus, the champ was at an all time low as regards his image in places like the USA. His refusal to leave Der Fatherland, combined with his gift against Macklin and even for some the draw with Murray meant public opinion was very much in Geales favour at the time. What I will say is that if you showed a replay of the Sturm v Geale fight to, say, 100 neutrals today, I would confidently say most would agree Sturm was wronged. Personally I prefer the cleaner work from Sturm over geale flapping any day. But as I explained to another guy earlier, that's the beauty of free speech...you don't have to agree with me. All the best.
