What a load of rubbish :patsch

Geale could have fought Macklin. Sturm wants a rematch with Geale. He could fight Murray. There were far easier options out there for Geale than Golovkin. But he chose the hardest and good luck to him :good

So fight Macklin for chump change and ignore a big money fight with GGG? yeah makes sense, if your a spastic that is. Sure he chose the hardest but also the most lucrative, make no mistake about it, boxing for Team Geale is bossiness first. Proof of that is dropping the WBA title to fight Mundine for the money instead of meeting his WT Obligations and fighting GGG, all of which he was well aware of prior to winning the title i may add.

Look, good luck to the guy and good on him for having a crack but theres no way he gets past GGG, you all want people to believe that a bloke who couldnt get past Barker is the only man that can defeat GGG and in the same breath you want decisions made in the past with regards to fighting GGG to be completely ignored. Try being objective and your view wont become so clouded with a bias outcome.

As for me being prowler and someone once said the two are the same, well someone once said man never landed on the moon and aliens are real, does that mean its true? bloody spastics hahaha

GGG was pretty much a no name who had feasted his way on bums to earn his shot at Geale for the WBA title, GGG has now gone on and created the hype as expected, really it was a smart move by Geale's team to vacate. as you have pointed out TC this is a business. And now Geale's team can cash in on GGG's hype and fight for the title as Geale can't really create any on his own on the international stage.

The timing of this fight is perfect for all concerned. As you said, GGG's profile has grown since Geale vacated in order to fight Mundine and make a fortune in the process, and now the time is right for two of the very best in the division to see who is the better man.

I agree, in boxing it's money talks (bull****) hype talks, and GGG has all the hype, Geale made the right choice to vacate when he did and cash against Mundine, Atleast Geale will get a better pay day this time win or lose...but I do think he will give GGG his biggest test yet.

If Geale can pull off the win against Golovkin he will rate alongside the very greatest we have ever produced. He is already nipping at the heels of some of our greats with his two world titles.

Dude, you just re-hash old ideas that came from someone else. Your arguments became invalid when you stated Geale would never fight GGG. Who has Geale dodged? Noone... That's why he's fighting GGG.. and will fight any put in front of him at the right time...

Same as Soliman. Both these blokes will fight anybody and it's funny watching their detractors try and claim otherwise

Everyone will fight anyone "at the right time" whats your point?

And whos ideas am i re-hashing? if i was doing so id draw reference to someone who supports the same ideas i do, you pea brain twit.

I should have wrote, WHILST GEALE CURRENTLY HOLDS ANY TITLES HE WONT FIGHT GGG. Because thats exactly what he did. Now GGG holds the title he wants and can fight for, sure he wants to fight GGG. Geale dodged Soliman for starters smartie pants :hey

@aussie opinion, compelling argument, however Geale just doesn't have the style to please crowds like GGG does. I guess we will soon see if GGG is all hype but im betting he is not, im also betting he is leagues above a fighter like Darren Barker and if this guy gave Geale problems just imagine what GGG is gonna do. Bussiness wise part of your argument does make sense, but you must also take into account that Geales big money fights atm are pretty much limited to this one alone and its really the only viable option money wise at this stage.

At the end of the day Geale has done it right...I lost some respect for him when he vacated the belt and didn't take the GGG fight, but he took Mundine n the big $ that was there and now has taken the GGG for probably a higher figure then their first fight could have been and also IMO GGG is looking even more dangerous since then.So whether it was intended or not its been a smart move on Geales part

It would be for less money than it would have been when he had the titles as he had more pulling power in terms of purse split.

Not really Golovkin wasn't the draw he is now back then. He only got 350k for the Macklin fight Macklin 300k. The titles don't mean sh*t to U.S fight fans Donaire got $1.3 million Rigondeaux 750k for their unification fight. Golovkin will be getting a lot more than Geale in this fight. Geale could have gone for a Mundine rematch which would pay more than a Golovkin fight.

Neither of these guys would have made the money they will make now, simply because they've had more exposure... TC, you have no idea...
