Overrated by Ring Magazine, Got to be the No.1 contender by beating a 40 year old Karmazin. Geale got lucky to win the IBF title in a close split decision over the weakest champion Sylvester. Made joke defence's of the title against Albert who was coming off a 1st round KO loss (Geale still went life & death with him over 12 rounds) and unworthy mandatory Adama. Then he beats an over the hill Felix Sturm in a close SD that could of gone either way.

He then surrenders the WBA title he won from Sturm to avoid Golovkin to fight a shot over the hill Mundine. Next he cherry picks Barker (who was coming off a 14 month layoff and was best known for quitting against Martinez) and he was beaten. A cherry pick gone wrong.

Only Aussies were overrating him. Everyone knew he was a tough, talented, but limited fighter

Yes but some were trying to say he would beat Golovkin which is absolutely laughable.

So, you think Barker quit against Martinez? What a joke. Geale and Barker are both very good middleweights. There is zero reason to run these guys down.

Golovkin is the most overrated boxer currently. Maybe Geale would beat him? Golovkins best wins are Macklin and Proksa. Its not completely out of the question. I think Golovkin wins by too but what if Geale can take his punches and outworks golovkin?

Geale has been dropped by Aussie domestic level bums before there is a reason he stays away from punchers, GGG would murder him.

I think Geale would give Golovkin problems

Golovkin struggled with then jmw kassimouma, Geale is better than Kassim in every way. Watch that fight

This. I think most people simply underrated Barker.

Disagree, I think it was a joke that they were contesting the once prestigious IBF Middleweight title.

Darren Barker is a great middleweight. I'd give him a very good chance to upset/ expose GGG. Yeah, no doubt thats a fight that he could win.

Geale & Barker are bums who had no business contesting a legit world title.

Barker isn't any better a fighter than Gaele to be perfectly honest.

Scratching by someone doesn't make you massively inferior to the winning fighter, especially with a knockdown thrown in there.

They have very similar celings, only real difference is Gaele has already peaked where as Barker is more than likely in his prime, mentally and physically, as we speak.

Geale, Barker, Murray, Macklin etc are all average, there's nothing outstanding about any of them. Golovkin would beat everyone of them without much difficulty.
