I think GGG knocks Jacobs out in three or four rounds. Jacobs likes to come forward and be aggressive, which spells early disaster against G. He won't be able to get G's respect with his punches either. So, I actually think that even though he's a full-fledged MW, he will fare worse than Brook. BJS on the other hand has shown the ability to box off the back foot and has had success against fighters who come forward as G is sure to do against him. However, I am sure that G will get to him eventually anyway as he is great at cutting off the ring and breaking opponents down. I see a 6th or 7th round stoppage for G against BJS. It's possible that the most dangerous fight for G at MW is actually Andy Lee with his dynamite right hook, though it is unlikely that Lee will find a home for it should they meet.
Pirog shattered his Glass Jaw. Mora was able to knock him down. This doesn't bode well for him against GGG.
Probably GGGs best opponent to date unless GGG fights BJS first. Jacob could pose alot of problems with his range and power but I don't think his chin is up to it. I think GGG will fight cautious early and outbox Jacobs until he can knock him out in the mid rounds. I don't think those who straight out hate GGG will give him too much sh*t for this fight. It is a decent match.
Jacobs deserves it for sure I would say and I agree that he would probably be his best win on paper. Jacobs is good, perhaps a little fragile maybe and defensively can be clumsy (he leaves that chin out a lot) but it's a fight I would like to see. I got a fairly comfortable GGG KO providing he boxes instead of just going in wild again
Jacobs has you all fooled. He is a front runner who will crap himself against what someone like GGG will bring to him. Jacobs is used to being the bully in control when he discovers that GGG is controlling the ring and making it smaller with every pass without even throwing, Jacobs is going to panic and throw caution to the wind making him vulnerable.
So, majority of posters consider DJ a worthy opponent. I expect a great spectacle. It would be a some kind of checking point for GGG (a great champion or bum-beater). I can't wait....
We already had that a couple of times. There have been threads about that in a couple of fights now. I won't be surprised if Jacobs will be called a bum by the haters when it's all said and done.
I'm curious, what's the book on Jacobs? What is his strengths and weaknesses as a fighter? Am I right in suggesting that he would be a good matchup for GGG? His style plays into GGG's hands?
