I believe Danny Jacobs will upset Canelo . After seeing Danny Jacobs fight with derevyanchenko a 5'9 fighter like Canelo. I give Jacobs the edge . Yes Canelo we've all heard about how Canelo has improved as a fighter well the same applies to Jacobs . Pirog a 6'1 counter puncher with legs was able to catch Jacobs . Key words (fighter with legs). Canelo dosent really have legs so I doubt he can catch Jacobs the way pirog did . Jacobs isn't the same fighter as when he fought pirog. I give Jacobs the advantage young ,athletic ,tall, has legs and Is a mover.

He can't, Jacobs was never good, vastly overrated after his close fight with GGG. Derevyanchenko was a 12 fight novice who never stepped up to world class as a pro, to compare him to Canelo doesn't make any sense, they don't even fight the same.

    EZ win for Canelo.

I strongly disagree. As I think Canelo has only improved in fighting slow come forward fighters that use no athleticism or movement which is why I think Canelo wanted to fight GGG instead of Jacobs first .

I doubt it, but even if he does- nobody get the decision against Canelo

wtf you are talking like Jacobs is some bum. He's a proven world class fighter who faces the best and is one of the best middleweights in the world.

@DirtyDan <<<<< just glanced at his posts and it makes sense now, He HATES Gennady so is discrediting Jacobs so GGG doesn't get props for beating him. #verysad

It’s always easy to see through people’s lack of objectivity.

Staying on topic, Daniel Jacobs is a world class operator. He is trying to break into the elite and here is his next chance.

I think Jacobs will present a real challenge for Canelo but one that Canelo will be up for. Another close loss against the elite in the weight class for Daniel Jacobs.

    I fully agree

I think Jacobs will lose in a close, good fight, but it unfortunately won't be close on the cards.

I wonder what mentality Daniel will go in with. I mean, he has to know that he is unlikely to decision Canelo unless it was a wipeout. Although he took shots from Golovkin better than pretty much anyone thought, Canelo is a different fighter. Canelos shots hurt in a different way I would think. GGG has thudding power, where Canelo can nail you with a counter you weren't ready for, which can be worse.

If Danny can keep him at a distance, and hurt him early maybe he could do it, but he also has to be active. As it is, he has an uphill battle

Exactly. Daniels can win 10 rounds and still lose.
    It's sad.

It's a ****ty situation for Jacobs.

He can't box his fight against Clenelo, though he certainly has the ability to outbox this guy under normal conditions. It won't be easy for Clen to deal with a tall, long , strong, strapping black athlete with speed, power and good legs.

But of course he can't just go out and box. He has to swing to kill from round 1.

There's not a chance on God's green earth that he's getting this decision. If he's not going for broke by the start of the 8th then I won't even feel a little bit bad for him when 120-108 is announced across the board.
