... and if Jacobs, whom I believe to be a fine fighter, starts dismantling Canelo, he loses by disqualification for a low blow he never threw. No one in the class will beat Canelo by decision despite how they may outscore him. Worse "keep Canelo on top for the good of the sport" tactics are headed our way and it doesn't matter if Canelo- whom I also believe to be a fine fighter- believes in such tactics or not. Whatever is good for the judges' landscaping plans, or automotive needs, is what will happen IMO. Let's see.
Dam you're a big time Canelo nut hugger just because I'm stating my opinion and you disagree it's stupid ? That's why you're nothing but a fanboy you provide no logic
What weight does Jacobs usually come in at, and how much of an issue is this (170?) rehydration clause going to be for him, really?
By calling his mom names probably. In a boxing ring his only chance is a KO, because Jacobs won't be able to outpoint the judges.
And so it begins! The temporary Canelo ‘fans’ of the past year and a half are now jumping ship. Funny.
It will be competitive, but I don´t think Jacobs has the power to really bother Canelo.. 8 rounds to 4 Canelo, declared as 10 - 2..
Jacobs becomes very hitable when he's the aggressor. He doesn't work off the jab with his offense nearly as much as he does when he's on his backfoot. He's also easy to bait into long exchanges. He may come out even in most of the exchanges but Canelo could easily score a knockdown or two in this fight.
Canelo enjoys almost Sven Ottke levels of protection. Somebody would need to knock him out cold. I remember Robin Reid beating up Ottke then knocking him down, only to be warned by that joke of a German ref ......for, er, punching Ottke (all the while helping poor Ottke back to his feet). More warnings followed throughout the fight. Will Canelo get that level of protection? TBA
