This is a very good and even type of match up.

Id favor Alvarez but a Jacobs win isn’t really an upset.

I'm a huge Canelo fan, but make no mistake, I can be critical of fighters I root for if they avoid fights that they should take.

I've followed boxing for many years, since the 90s. In that time I have followed boxers who have failed tests and I have given them the benefit of the doubt or forgiven them, amongst those fighters I include Klitschko, Fernando Vargas, Tyson Fury, Felix Sturm, Pernell Whitaker, Roy Jones Jr., I don't see why Canelo doesn't deserve the same treatment. In fact Canelo is the only fighter amongst them who took a hair follicle test and one if not the only fighter enrolled in VADAs most stringent testing program.

As far as the scorecards, I don't hold that against fighters, many fighters have had at least one controversial score by a judge from time to time and a big fuss isn't made over it. I mean, really, Canelo has only had two controversial scores, the 10-2 in the first GGG fight, and if you want to include the 6-6 in the Mayweather fight, I guess you can.

I'm very fair when it comes to rating and judging fighters. I do spend more time debating for Canelo, but that's only because as I mentioned he is one of my favorite active boxers and he has a lot of haters here, probably a 3-1 ratio.

The Lara cotto and trout fight scorecards were shady as well but fair enough I see your point. Roy Jones positive PED test didn't stop him from being Roy . So I understand your point as well there

I don't think Trout or Cotto had shady scores. If you're the type of judge who scores in favor of clean hard punching and ring generalship then I can see why they heavily favored Canelo in those two fights.

Canelo will smash him. Jacob is world class but Canelo is elite.

He has a chance. He did very well against GGG who beat ginger twice in the real world. He has size on Canelo and good movement and a decent array of skills. Just not sure he's got the power to crack ginger's chin. We' need to see the best of Jacobs, a poor night for Canelo and fair judging. The last one being the most unlikely.

Danny has no doubt a chance to win. I believe we could be the better boxer. He definitely has the better footwork.
The Derevyanchenko fight is different in my eyes because these guys sparred together a good amount of time. They knew each other.

Yet I believe Canelo is peaking currently. He looks very strong lately and very fast and powerful with his counter punches especially when the trap is set.

I like Danny but Canelo might be too strong and too much firepower. This is going to be a great bout.

I think that was the worst most blatantly biased refereeing I have ever seen.
