Looked like Jacobs took his foot off the gas for some reason after the first round ended. Maybe he was told to control the over under or something

I was on the fence about who'd win between Quillen and Jacobs, leaning Quillen now, not an impressive performance.

When asked about Golovkin, Jacobs said he wanted to fight Quillin....................Golovkin would knock Jacobs out cold................

I dont agree with those knocking Jacobs performance. I thought he was very calm, measured and mature. He is better than Quillin.

He looked OK. That said, I don't rate Fletcher highly at all. He's plucky and game and he captured a few good scalps as an amateur (Adonis Stevenson and Degale), but he's just not a top level MW and his chin isn't the greatest either.

It wasn't a fantastic performance but it was OK - Fletcher's a step up from anyone he's fought since Pirog and while he might not have controlled every minute of the fight he got the job done handily.

Tbh I'm not sure who wins right now between Quillin and Jacobs - I kinda prefer Jacobs but he's just not been in with anyone who can punch since Pirog (who's hardly a KO artist himself) so I've no idea how he'll respond to Quillins power - such as it is.

There is never any need to. Thats what I mean about it being a mature and measured performance. He didnt lose the run of himself and blow his load when he had a big 1st round.

Whenever he wanted to, he went up through the gears, and when he did this the disparity in class was evident.

Some opponents are "dangerous" in different ways. A guy might be limited, but you might have to work very hard to beat him and look very ordinary doing it. Danny neatly avoided this pitfall.
