I remember Froch was trying to fight Chavez years ago as a retirement fight against a very beatable opponent.

Now Chavez has had some more losses, more bongs, and incredible inactivity, I see Jacobs is daring to be great.

My understanding was that the hearing was supposed to have taken place last month.
Don't know what came of it but I'm guessing that NSAC must have accepted Jr.s contention that VADA officials didn't show proper credentials, plus the fact that at the time VADA showed up, the fight with Jacobs hadn't been officially signed yet, which in part was the reason why Chavez refused to give a sample.

Chavez is basically the no-hoper here. Jacobs will land on him and can certainly hurt him. I am also basing that on Chavez's inactivity and the fact he is nearly 34. Danny will dictate this fight and IMO the only way he loses is if he overlooks Chavez. Danny dominates him IMO.

I think Danny gets his first stoppage since Sergio.

Can’t believe Chavez still has backers and believers here. Some thing he never deserved.

Jacobs was always a class above Chavez, now several classes about and won’t have to worry about cutting down to 160. Jr is getting pummeled.

    He’s like 33, not 23.

He ain’t ever gonna be an ATG. It’s too late.

Come on guys we know what this is.. Have to make Danny look monstrous so he can be considered a credible opponent for Smith or BJS.. Not saying he couldn’t beat those guys but for the fights to look appealing Danny has to dominate and what better opponent than one who’s less dedicated than Andy Ruiz

u may be surprised though. Recall Joe Cowazaghe only won his first legit title at 34, and a few people feel he is atg - Jacobs is already ahead of him in that way.

Fighters who show up to a bout and don't even try to win, lose me forever. The way that Chavez Jr fought against Canelo, I will not tune in to another one of his fights. Kovalev is the same, I will never watch another Krusher fight because of the way he "fought" against Canelo.

You're discrediting Kovalev to much. Kovalev was only following the game plan laid out by Buddy McGirt.
The one round in the fight where Kovalev took the fight to Canelo and made him retreat, McGirt was on him at the end of the round and being told to go back to the way he was fighting as Canelo was laying a trap back tracking like that.
Unlike Jr. at leat Kovalev was competitive.

Body language my dude, he came out showing no heart, and no effort. Even if the game plan was to jab on the outside all night, he still managed to make it look pathetic.
