Daniel Jacobs says he does not fear GGG; talks potential fight

    I like to think that if your a fighter, your not really scared to fight anyone because your job is to fight. With that said, I think a Jacobs fight with GGG is more entertaining than a Quillin fight with GGG but would probably last less than a Quillin fight.

    How much does he think he deserves against GGG? He has no fanbase, he has no title, I'm not even sure he's a top 5 middleweight. I'm not sure what makes these guys like Kid Chocolate and him think they're worth so much.

    words don't mean **** in boxing. its what you do or don't do.

    That being said, obviously Jacobs manager has other plans for him then feeding one of his middleweight 'stars' to G, if Jacobs wasn't a puppet though he could make the fight happen (example, canelo against lara... Hopkins against Kovalev) but hes happy to be used, avoid the number one middleweight while lining his pockets.... cool, that's a part of boxing, but don't get butthurt when called out on it. Too many fighters want the luxury of hiding behind a manager and then don't want to get the heat for it.

    In general I don't believe that fighters are afraid of each other (except Mayweather in some cases). It is always a business decision - risk / reward.

    GGG's problem is that he is still not high reward, and he really does not have any other option other than beating top guys until he gets a fight with Canelo... It also has to do with the fact that superwelterweight-supermiddleweight range is kind of empty in terms of "expensive" names, leaving aside Canelo, Cotto and him.

    Quillin has been talking that he is the best and is not afraid of anybody for years, but was still ducking GGG.

    Besides, Jackobs will have his glass jaw shattered by Quillin, so it doesn't matter what he says about GGG.

    GGG is high reward, besides Canelo there's no higher rewards in the division.

    well said ...last I heard I think Jacobs wanted a joint PPV to fight Golovkin so he doesn't really want to fight him at all.

    Yep. Lemieux got $1.5 mil. Neither Quillin, nor Jackobs have ever gotten a half of that.

    They'll only fight GGG for an inordinate amount of money aka they don't want to fight GGG.

    In light of Golovkin's best opponent probably being Murray. I find your comments quite humorous. Golovkin has been fighting bum after bum. Jacobs is actually decent. If he beats Quillen, he immediately becomes Golovkin's biggest threat in the division, because he will have a better win than Golovkin does.

    Jacobs has 0 chance. That chin is made of paper. GGG would walk through him without using defense.

    This. Jacobs would get destroyed if he fights GGG and honestly I don't like his chances against Quillin either. The only difference is Quillin can be lazy and coast through rounds while GGG always shows up to beat people into submission.
