Daniel Jacobs vs ishe smith in the works

Supposedly, the actually had some sort of agreement in place with Manfredo, but he changed promoters and the new promoter had other ideas. Shame too, because unlike Smith, I think Manfredo was a perfect fight for him. Lyell would have been good too. Don't underestimate Lyell. Guy loses focus between bouts and has spent too much of his career wasting his talent, but he is dangerous. Smith is one of the guys I'd least like to see Danny in with. Not because I don't think he can beat him, but because I think it will be an ugly fight.

 

Jacobs would have slapped Manfredo around easily. I'd rather see him deal with a defensive oriented guy like Smith to learn more about his potential.

 

Ishe's style is good against a fighter like Jacobs but he just doesnt have the size, reach, workrate or the power to beat Danny. Ishe will give Jacobs fits but its foolish to think Ishe will pull the upset.
