Yep. They're ranked in position to contend for the vacant title mainly by virtue of their victories over Lorenzo & Bursak respectively.

    Round 1

Jacobs is jabbing into the guard of Fletcher and backing him across the ring. Fletcher circles out by the ropes using the whole perimeter of the large ring. Fletcher moves in and triples a stiff jab on his toes. Jacobs counters with a left hook on the temple, wobbling Fletcher. Hook-2 by Jacobs and Fletcher is dropped. Fletcher is up bouncing around. Another hook by Jacobs, wobbling Fletcher again. Follow-up combo and Fletcher careening into the ropes. Fletcher tries jabbing in and twisting his body to his right to brace up against Jacobs. Body shots by Jacobs, doubling Fletcher over. Clubbing right hands on the head and left hooks on the body by Jacobs, very sharp. Fletcher is badly hurt but stays up over the last half minute taking abuse, unable to clinch or escape.

    10-7 Jacobs

Props to Fletcher for surviving that first round onslaught from Jacobs.

Best case scenario for Fletcher is that he's not in there with GGG.

Quick blow outs in all 3 main fights and...we'd all be free for Takayama...right?

    Round 2

Jacobs is throwing hard left jabs at Fletcher from mid-range. Jacobs carries his arms low and walks Fletcher down but doesn't close all the way in, tracking left or right to watch for weaknesses as he makes Fletcher turn and square up. Fletcher extends his lead leg and braves the inside waters with a reach-in jab, then closes his stance up sliding out. Double jab and right up top by Fletcher, ducked.

    10-9 Jacobs

    20-16 Jacobs
