Jacobs by an absolute country mile. All Jermall has going for him is that he's strong and muscular and maybe edges it in the power department. Everywhere else it's not even close.
Jacobs UD. Technically better, faced more adversity and came through. I believe this would have been somewhat a bore to watch though.
I like Charlo's strength .and he utilizes his ability. Not every person can do it all. But i believe he has enough fundamental discipline that he can control Jacobs. Besides , Jacobs talked himself out of a fight with Charlo when they met up . i think Charlo would be the more confident fighter.
Today Jacob can't make 160lb no more. He looks drained and sluggish at that weight. He is also massively inactive. Charlo is at his peak and takes a competitive, dull, UD. 6 years ago? Jacob is now at his peak of his middleweight career, takes competitive, but again, dull, UD. No matter how you slice it. It would be dull .
Dang it, I thought the thread was letting us know they signed to fight each other. That's a fight I would like to see. I'll take Charlo in this one. I just don't think that Jacobs has the firepower or movement to hold off Charlo's attack.
It’s crazy how Danny was thought of before the GGG fight til now.. To me that’s a 55/45 fight favoring Charlo. Many people like to bring up the Danny that fought GGG but forget the Danny that was put on his behind by Sergio Mora or the one who LOST to Rosario, or couldn’t figure out Arias or had an near even fight with Sulecki. Not to mention how he took no chances and was satisfied surviving vs Canelo. Let’s not get carried away overrating Danny. The deciding factor here would be Danny’s chin compared to Charlos and Danny lack of head movement playing a role in Charlo landing his jab at will. Charlo struggles with southpaws and awkward styles neither of which Danny posses.
Jacobs has faded and seems to be getting slower. His movement isn't quite on par as it was when he fought Golovkin and Canelo. I think Jacobs movement, pace and physical ability is what helped him against Golovkin. If you slow him down and make him less mobile i think he struggles and Charlo will land better shots. I still think it's a close fight. I don't think the Charlo brothers are that special tbh. I've tried to see what some others see in them. I think they're good boxers but not great. Which is nothing to be ashamed of.
