    Please school me on this man, how influential was he? Did he change the game in his time? I’ve read tidbits about him but I don’t have a ton of information, thank you

    He was important, but I think it gets overstated.

    There were other fighters doing the same stuff around the same time and a bit before, like Humphries. Will Ward and Tom Johnson.

    George Ring was alledgedly influential on this group, but I've found very very little information on him.

    You should check out his boxing manual and his autobiography. You can find both online.
