Not getting that from Boxrec, the clock said 12 rounds above it for the first 2 rounds. It's for some WBC belt.

    Round 5

Ponce de Leon shakes out his right jab, then lands a left to the body. He loves this combination. Lazcano walks into a jab. Sloppy looping left by Lazcano, missing the front tip of Ponce de Leon's pseudo-mullet (business in the front, rat-tail in the back! :party) by a few inches. Ponce de Leon decides to show Lazcano that he can hook with him, by smacking him in the gob with his own RH. Back to hard lefts for Ponce de Leon. Lazcano tries a southpaw 1-2 to the body but is caught on the elbows. Ponce de Leon is circling to the right, landing in combination. Slapping left over the top by Ponce de Leon as Lazcano comes wading in. Sloppy shots by Lazcano, missing.

    50-45 Ponce de Leon

    :think

Could have been adjusted for TV, yeah. :conf It happens.

Also, some minor titles - such as the myriad WBC baubles - are/can be contested over ten.

Every fight featuring a recognizable Mexican is for a WBC belt.

    Round 6

Ponce de Leon is turned sideways, his right hip facing Lazcano, and jabbing out at him. Effortlessly scoring with the jab to the face and left to the body is Ponce de Leon. Lazcano just covers up on the outside, then dives in with shots that are poorly measured and worse aimed. Lead left by Ponce de Leon, doubled, then interrupted by a quick right jab and another high left. All four punches landed. Lazcano's face is becoming a left hand magnet. Double alternating-hands uppercut by Ponce de Leon. A few slapping lefts from outside.

    60-54 Ponce de Leon

    This is...not very competitive.

Lazcano wouldn't be worth his paycheck as a sparring partner for Ponce de Leon, if we're being perfectly honest.

PDL getting tired from landing hard lefts. Only exhaustion can slow him down, Lazcano has no defense.

    Round 7

Ponce de Leon is sticking the right jab high in Lazcano's face, then fading to either side as Lazcano tries to time him with a left hand, slipping the punch, and landing his own hard straight or arcing left. Over and over. Lazcano just doesn't learn from his errors. Ponce de Leon whips a long left hand into the side of Lazcano's head, then lands a few jabs. They turn together at close range and Lazcano is knocked out of step by a right hook. Ponce de Leon opens up with a straight combo. Another one, punctuated by a hook. Whipping left from outside. Double jab, left cross. Ponce de Leon is picking it up a bit, maybe setting up for a finish in the eighth.

    70-63 Ponce de Leon
