Roman should win this but Matsumoto is definitely better and more dangerous than Kubo.

Worth noting that Matsumoto under went surgery for a thyroid problem following the loss to Lopez, and has grown by about 3" in height since then, and put on the lbs. He was apparetnyl affected by it as an amateur as well. Still favour Roman here, but lets just be aware Matsumoto has under-gone proper treatment for hypothyroidism which was giving him all sorts of issues.

Amagasa's retired following his loss to Pumicpic last year

They will? It's not scheduled on their TV broadcast until a tape delay broadcast on Saturday, unless something has changed in the last day or two. Lots offolk pissed about this not being live, unless Thompson Boxing do a live stream

Their schedule still says Saturday - http://www.fujitv.co.jp/timetable/weekly/index.html (with a further replay/delay for BS customers on Sunday)

Huh, really...that's super weird. I don't remember the source now because several weeks have passed but I remember somewhere reading those exact broadcast details (channel/date/time) while researching this post:
    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/on-tap-for-the-rest-of-the-month-in-boxing.601380/

I doubt I would've missed the day being different altogether. Guess it was just more bad intel, par for the course with boxing metadata unfortunately.

I really need to know if there's going to be any way to watch this live, because I am not getting up at the crack of dawn for no reason.

    When is this fight?
Or how far away in terms of hour. It's always confusing with dates when it comes to Asian cards.

It currently is about quarter past noon local time in Tokyo. Ring walks should be around 8pm local time. (6am EST; about 7¾ hours from now)

Looking forward to this, bummer that there won’t be a legit broadcast or stream until Thompson streams it on Friday but Danny will be live streaming it on his Facebook for those who are interested.

Oh wow! So he's going to have a friend or relative just do a Periscope from ringside on their phone or something? That's so clutch! :aplastao: WAR Román!!!

...but he didn't say what time. :duh

Yup, he did it for his bout in September as well, as that was shown on a slight delay in Japan (couple hours, not three days :shakehead: lol) so this time should be the same. It was pretty fun watching the stream first then the official broadcast later because you could hear Danny’s team and family so loudly and while I don’t understand Japanese in the slightest, I could make out the commentators laughing at the enthusiasm his corner was showing.
