Round 3 Román is ducking under some lashing flurries by Matsumoto and digging hard to his body. 1-2-3's by Román. Matsumoto is rolling out the jab while moving counterclockwise and keeping a full breadth or two's space between them. Román just keeps wending his way inside and exploding with shredding hook combos, low to high. 10-9 Román, close 30-27 Román
Round 1 Roman 10-9 Round 2 Roman 10-9 Round 3 Roman 10-9 Round 4 Roman 10-9 Roman had him reeling before the bell.
Thought round 3 was Matsunmoto's best, round 4 was Roman's best...could be 4-0 to Roman, , 3-1 or or 2-2. Can't see Matsumoto in the lead.
Round 4 Román is ducking under the jab and using his entire body like a slingshot to deliver a high flying left check hook, wound around the outstretched jab of Matsumoto. Román backs Matsumoto into the ropes and hammers the body with rights. Matsumoto is able to skip away, planting jabs on the side of Román's head. Matsumoto is looking more comfortable with a little distance to play with and starts experimenting with straight combos while leaning back with his feet anchored. Román suddenly leaps forward and cracks him with a hook/overhand/hook combo and sets him into retreat. Matsumoto finds his jabbing range and resets himself, until the next dashing, violent sortie by Román. 10-9 Román 40-36 Román

Roman did nothing special over the round, Matsumoto was way more active and landed some good shots there. The end of the round was for Roman but it was not enough imo to take the round overall.
Round 5 Román is leading with jabs and short inside slap-hooks across the face of the challenger. Matsumoto is sliding his feet back and pumping out jabs with the right axing down behind it to punctuate whenever he grinds his rear heel to a pause. Román is flipping up jabs at the guard and then whipping hooks at the ribs of Matsumoto. Wild overhand right by Román, parried and repelled by Matsumoto as he turns Román. Nice 1-2 on the body from Matsumoto with his back on the ropes but Román drills him with a bunch of straight and looping blows downstairs. 10-9 Román 50-45 Román
Well the birds-eye-view stream clearly shows the digital round clock mounted up high on the wall as it counts down from 3:00, not sure which feed you're on.
