    Pretty much the best round for Roman. Pressuring Matsumoto constanly and landed some really big shots to the body.

    Román is slashing with hooks from down by his chest to Matsumoto's lofty grill, and working uppercuts and looping rights on the body. Matsumoto is flurrying back frantically but getting claustrophobic again. Román able to get into a rhythm with his jab for the first time in a while. Pause - Matsumoto fouled? Time in. Nice jab and uppercut combo by Román at mid-range. Matsumoto just lobbing straight combos predictably at Román's brow, hand speed diminishing a bit, punches getting looser. Now he's tired. Román just catches his shots and slashes his way in.

    Román is pushing his way past Matsumoto's jab, which is being extended and held suspended in place to hold Román at bay. Román just muscling past it, hooking at the body, only grazing but throwing with enough power that Matsumoto is forced to step back anyway. Matsumoto tries reestablishing his jab, but can't really throw in more than couplets anymore, his arm sagging wearily to his side after every second one. Matsumoto backing away, spring-loading a counter chopping right to dissuade Román, but to no avail. Román keeps marching in, hooking away - then gets warned sternly for what appeared to be an incidental headbutt. Time in. Matsumoto jabbing the air over Román's head, then swatting him on the face with a hook as Román swims the moat, attacking the body.
