Because if they weighed in on the same day, they wouldn't have as much time to rehydrate. They would be weaker in that ring. If Margo had to weigh in on fight night, he would be at a big disadvantage against guys who would make the weight with relative ease. Those 10 lbs. or so that Margo puts on after the weigh in are a big benefit to him considering his style. If can't put on that weight and be at full strength, he's not the same fighter.
Day of fight weigh in at 147 Cotto kicks Margos ass. Thats the difference do I need to spell it out in a way you can comprehend.
Cotto would be just as drained you ****ing idiot. He has been around 155-160 for his recent fights. I hate to insult people but you are just plain stupid!
He still has two losses to avenge and those guys are active, Santos might not be here for long and won't be moving down for it either, Margarito lost at 154 and should avenge it right there if he's interested to, Santos is clearly interested to give a shot at it. Then again avenging a loss against Williams is definitely bigger so let's wait and see when that will happen. This is Margarito's very first division to dominate, let's see if he succeeds.
but you saying he "CANT" is more out of the ballpark then saying he can......why, cause margo had his ass stumblin all over the ring in their 2nd fight....
This is very true Tony was wobbled a couple of times, But towards the end of the fight Tony was clearly taking over and it became his fight at the point of stoppage. Honestly let Margarito sit at welter weight and make some cash I am sure that he wants this fight as well, But beleive me its been a long time since these two fought and so much has changed in favor of Tony and not much has changed with Santos. I think it will be insteresting but I also think Tony will be catching Santos at the right time this time around.
Only because the PR judges put a shifty stop to it. Santos needs to worry about regaining his loss to the "real" super welter Sergiy Dzinkiruk.
So far he has dominated much better in this divison than Mayweather Jr has. and it will continue, Floyd didnt dominate the welter weight divison and to say so is to straight up lie, No matter what as it stands now Tony fought and stopped the top welter weight in the mix, Floyd hasnt done that so really Margarito is a step ahead of Floyd in terms of what he has done with this divison.
well since you didnt watch the fight, no he didnt.......and i'm sure he would've if margo wasn't fighting a whole island
Last time I checked Floyd had more than one belt, he was the linear champ and undisputed WW champ. Margarito just has one belt and he is scared to unify. He doesn't want Clottey and he is afraid of Williams. I guess it should be natural for him to be afraid of Santos, he doesn't like to fight legit competition.
